I donāt know whatās going to happen (no spoilers pls), but Iād prefer a sad ending for this one. I donāt get why people are always so obsessed with happy endings. Sad endings can be just as powerful and can make a love story even more epic.
I was already in love with Mi Jin before I even started the drama because he looks so much like Zhai Xiaowen. And now I think their voices sound alike too! š
Omg, this is my kind of love story! Loving the angst! The emotions the actors convey are out of this world š I just wish they could have fleshed out the story more with longer episodes.
It really is ⦠I honestly donāt get this obsession with the bts and the actors themselves. Like, we realize…
Itās so annoying how some main CP fans go through every single post under the second CPās videos, whining about why they get a fan meeting and their favourite doesnāt. And that ONE day when the second CP had BTS videos, they were cursing at the team for not posting the main CPās stuff!š”Behaviour like this has made me root for the second CP more now, when I used to like the main CP more before.
Not many people are watching on youtube. The membership fee is not that much guys. Itās not every day we get a true historical BL coming out of china. The actors are amazing and the whole team did such a beautiful job. They deserve all the love. Letās support them however we can!
Are we all just going to ignore the fact that drunk Chi Cheng took Guo Cheng Yu's name in sleep when he was asked…
Itās because they are more than just best friends, yet not lovers.
I feel sorry for WS. He is not wrong to second-guess CC and GCYās relationship, and it was very ambiguous even in the novel. Also the book CC and GCY did so much stuff than in the series š Their relationship is complicated to understand. I would say they are soulmates. They do have sexual attraction for one another, but absolutely no romantic feelings.
CC truly loved WS but their love was very intense and obsessive in nature which was bound to be short lived. Whereas his love for GCY is just different and unconditional.
Yeah, I understand your confusion. The series didnāt delve much into their relationship like the book did, but even the book doesnāt provide a clear answer.
Episodes 3 and 4 were so much better than the last two. The chemistry between the leads reminded me why I love historical BL so much. Thereās no need for anything explicit, sometimes just a longing gaze is enough. Shu He and the Crown Princeās relationship is so tragic. They truly loved and cared for each other before everything fell apart.
I'm enjoying this drama but tbh the acting feels pretty wooden overall. I donāt think itās the actorsā fault coz i can see they are really good in some scenes. It just seems like the director intentionally wanted them to perform this way and i don't know why. The series sometimes feels like itās putting on an act rather than telling its story.
The first two eps were kinda meh, not bad, just not good either. Basically, all the secondary charactersā acting felt off and they didn't really look the part. But Iām only here for the leads and their chemistry anyway š And Mi Jin reminds me of Zhai Xiaowen š„°
My goodness, why is it so hard to get a proper kissing scene? Iām so frustrated! Iād be fine if other dramas skipped kiss scenes, but in the omegaverse, sex is such an integral part. And obviously, I was expecting more.
Guys, youāre doing great, the passion is there, the acting is on point, the casting is perfect. But please⦠just open your mouths a little more! Kiss like you mean it!! Use your teeth!!! Bite each other!!! Rip each other apart!!! Arghhhh
i wanted a proper conversation about all the confusion they had regarding yy, ws, gcy. and why did cc say "i hate you" to wsw? as a viewer, i never understood the reasoning behind it. and then, lamely they just threw in a piece of paper to explain everything.
iāve read the novel as well, but never finished it as it was a mess as well. but pls don't bring up "it wasn't in the novel" stuff. i donāt care whether it was in the novel or not, that doesnāt make any difference. the job of a filmmaker is to make the scene cohesive, and for me, it wasnāt.
Ship fictional characters however you like, I'm a 2Cheng shipper myself š© but real life actors? It's so creepy. And god forbid if one actor from one CP is friendly with another actor from different CP, they start fan war over it. If itās done lightheartedly and just for fun, thatās one thing, but some fans take every gesture or casual conversation the actors had from BTS way too seriously, overanalyzing and interpreting it into whatever their delulu mind wants to see.

And LXC was only 19 at the time, but he was so chill and nonchalant, saying stuff that really left me stunned š¤£š¤£š¤£
I actually started out as a Chiwei shipper, but somewhere along the way, I became a hardcore 2Cheng shipper š© If I were a producer in China, Iād be signing those two for my next project.
