Oh what the actual hell. Every single time I try to come on here and enjoy reading discourse, it’s like a whole new wave of irrational clowns showed up overnight. Another day, another FUCKING PROBLEM.

We are at episode 16. Yet some of y’all are still frothing at the mouth over something that happened in episode ONE. Yes, we all get it. Rape is bad. No one here is debating that. It’s literally a universal fact. But the way some of you have this unholy obsession with turning every thread into a moral sermon is exhausting.

You wanna express discomfort with that scene? Fine. Valid. Go for it. But half of y’all aren't just expressing that, you're attacking anyone who didn't drop the show over it, as if fictional trauma must be universally responded to in one exact way. Spoiler alert: it doesn't.

Some of us process fiction differently. Some of us don’t hyperfixate on a single scene from episode one when the story has since expanded. But y’all are out here scrutinizing viewers instead of the actual show, like that’s productive. Why do you care more about policing reactions than engaging with the actual plot LMAO.

And then there's the hilarious hypocrisy... trying to put Guo on a pedestal, calling him a “green flag” when he's literally Chi Cheng’s right-hand man. You really sat through all these episodes and didn’t realize he was involved in the same activities? Just because it wasn't shown in bright lights doesn’t mean he’s innocent. That man is complicit as hell.

Tbh some of you aren’t upset about ethics. LASTLY it's hilarious how y’all keep using site ratings as some kind of gospel metric of this show’s success. Y’all really think a couple of bitter downvotes on one international platform somehow negate the fact that this show obliterated records in China? Ziyu had over 40 MILLION live viewers. Forty. Million. His Weibo numbers alone blew the ceiling off historical records. Tian’s post got a million likes in under ten damn minutes. But sure, tell me more about how it’s “not that popular” because you and five of your fandom mutuals say so.

I really don’t support that at all. I’ll admit, when the rumors first came out, I did say that if Ziyu had cheated, he should be held accountable but never with hate. At the end of the day, he’s still human. Relationships can be incredibly complicated. We never truly know what goes on behind closed doors or what kind of emotional dynamics or even toxicity might have been involved. From the very start, even in my first comment when I really thought he cheated, I still said I was disappointed, but I made sure to say it respectfully without attacking or hating on him. I really wish more people knew how to share their opinions without crossing into cruelty. You can have your own perspective and still show basic decency.

I’m honestly just wishing the best for Ziyu at this point. He doesn’t deserve this level of public pressure and emotional harm. I truly hope he has people around him who are comforting and protecting him right now. He needs peace more than anything. 🫶

I’m really worried about Ziyu too. Regardless of what anyone believes about the situation, this is ultimately a private matter that should never have escalated to this level of public pressure and scrutiny. He’s so young, and no one his age should be forced to deal with this kind of emotional and mental burden on such a massive scale.

This comment section has completely spiraled out of control and I’m struggling to understand what everyone is still fighting about. Like many others, I was genuinely disappointed on the first day when the news broke and it seemed like Ziyu had cheated. That reaction was based on limited information, and it was understandable in the moment.

But then a second statement came out and it clarified that he didn’t cheat. I was genuinely relieved to hear that. Of course, people are free to believe what they want and no one is obligated to accept his version of events. But even if you do believe he cheated, can we at least agree that he doesn’t deserve this level of hate?

Let’s be clear: cheating while morally wrong is not a crime. It's a personal matter. And in this case, Ziyu has publicly denied the accusations and that should matter, at least enough to stop the targeted harassment.

I’ve seen recent photos of him and he genuinely looks exhausted. This level of public pressure and hostility is not something anyone deserves especially not over something that, in the worst case, is a private failing and not a criminal act.

At this point, the comment section isn’t a place for discussion anymore, it’s become emotionally overwhelming and frankly toxic. We can have different opinions without turning this space into a battleground uk. Can we go back to talk about the show :((
