They know what's on the tin for a MAME show, she has her kinks, and one of them is a "NO" kink. If you don't know…
Your english is good ā„ the show is definitely not for everybody and most people chose to judge the one's who enjoy this kind of content which is frustrating
I donāt know how many posts Iāve seen that have taken the āI can changeā him approach when it comes to VegasPete. Which got me thinking about all the ways in which people minimize their relationship by making it one-sided. Itās often either āPete will show him what it means to be goodā or āVegas will corrupt himā but scarcely ever āVegas and Pete will both teach each other more about themselves.ā
With VP, itās even easier to make dichotomous arguments because their surface-level opposition is even starker; Vegas is the most mafia-like character we have, while Pete seems distinctly āgoodā by comparison. Quotes around good because Pete is still part of this mafia lifestyle even if he doesnāt enjoy it.
People tend to act like Vegas and Pete are opposites. But we know thereās darkness inside Pete just like we know thereās the potential for goodness inside Vegas. I donāt think theyāre necessarily corrupting each other in two directions eitherā Vegas turning Pete more evil while Pete turns Vegas more goodābut I do think thereās some kind of give and take occurring on both sides.
I haven't been a fan of BL for long, so I haven't really followed the various discussions, but I know some people…
They know what's on the tin for a MAME show, she has her kinks, and one of them is a "NO" kink. If you don't know what that is, then look it up please. If that bothers them when not properly discussed by parties beforehand with an alternate safeword then that's fair. But considering this is fiction and no one is actually getting harmed they should find literally anything else about her work to criticize, because this is getting boring.
An other problem is fhe age, a majority of BLs have an age restriction for a reason. Not every show is for all age groups. That being said, if you're a minor and the show says that it's for 18+ yet you choose to ignore that blatant warning and can't distinguish between fiction and reality that's your problem. They might be comfortable with watching a sex scene here and there but if they are not comfortable with certain topics that are depicted then I don't see the point of watching. No one is gonna force them to continue a show if it makes them that uncomfortable and if they do want to continue for whatever reason, they can skip the parts that make them uncomfortable. When I watched History 4, I skipped all the scenes with the brothers because I didn't like them and their relationship made me feel icky for various reasons. So, I skipped their scenes as much as I could. It's not that hard. Don't force yourself to consume content that makes you uncomfortable and especially don't hate on others for enjoying the content that you can't handle because these kind of people don't criticize the show. They CRITICIZE the audience and shame them for watching it.
no one says it quite like you mimi. ahahaha. people need to understand the creative freedom in writing / storytelling…
I think itās safe to say that watching a series by mame has two choices.
- embrace some of the base moral of said protagonists while cheering on some of the behaviors we wont condone in real life
or
- watch something where the narrative allows you to comfortably feel good about the moral of the protagonists, not forcing you to challenge your ideas or slip into the potentially confusing and scary position of floating through the grayscales of people.
SA is up to your interpretation, just because someone doesn't have the same perspective on Phayu's actions as you do doesn't make them a bad person. It's just a story. If you don't like it that's ok, please curate your own online experience but casting moral judgments on people who do like it is not the greatest conclusion to jump to. It's a very, very broad brush for a pretty nuanced and complicated canvas of artistic expression and the sandbox of fictionality.
Please do remember that there is no such thing as interpretation in real life when it comes to SA but it can be distinguished in fiction.
Again -- not an argument but
It is very time consuming to curb creative freedom especially towards the audience because we all come from different culture's, we as VIEWERS see things differently.
AGAIN -- I wouldn't agree with this in real life but in fiction, every interpretation is allowed either you like it or not.

Both are okay, in fact, we need both.
