Thank you Dr. Judgemental for your concern but I am just fine with my enjoyment of fictional characters but you…
Many people don't have the privilege of learning to distinguish abusive behaviors. They shouldn't be shamed for it nor being called sick, it is indeed concerning but some people live in such a horrific environment and were taught that these things are okay, there are nicer ways to try and explain why its wrong than call them sick.
I mean this unironically, please stop watching it if it triggers you in any way, or if you simply don't like unhealthy characters and/or dynamics. Considering it's Mame's show it was clear from the beginning that neither of them was going to be a healthy character (repeat after me: Rain. is. as. unhealthy. as. Phayu), and I'm personally sticking around to see what kind of direction the rest of the episodes will take. Will I be disappointed if it doesn't become healthier? No, bc I still find the story interesting and I'm a balanced enough individual to consume content that it's not always aligned with my beliefs or morals. If you're not then you've every right to detach yourself from any type of content, but don't criticize the audience please. CRITICIZE the show all you want, by all means you are free to vent and hate it with all your power but don't put your opinions on the watchers who enjoy it because we didn't sign up for criticism π₯²
I am able to distinguish between the morality and ethics of real life and those of a deeply immoral, fundamentally unethical fictional universe and again, this is all about preference.
On a side note, I see people cursing Payu and putting Rain, the poor, innocent boy, on a high pedestal, but somehow failing to notice the same Rain suddenly kissing Payu without asking for his consent. Not to mention it was also Rain who was looking for Payuβs weaknesses, stalked him and probably got him into trouble. When Payu crosses the line, there is outrage, but when Rain crosses the line - there is silence.
Double standard???
To me, if Rain really wants to, he can stop Payu AT ANY POINT, also Iβm sure Payu actually would stop. Heβs not Type who sometimes looked like he was about to cry.
Anyway I'm not trying to start an argument, my entire point is -- hate the show, criticize the show but leave the damn audience alone and don't call people sick
I would say this series is going to be my guilty pleasure but I realized I never did or will associate guilt with enjoying certain fictional content. πββ¬
