I guess since the original only hinted at romance rather than being explicitly gay, they wanted to keep that same approach here and as for Nani and Sky, I’m not sure how they feel about taking on a full BL role since it requires a big commitment with all the extra activities, fan meetings, and promotions, which can be exhausting. So maybe they were more comfortable with keeping it as a bromance as well, regardless I can totally understand the frustration lmao I am literally screaming "KISS" at the screen every damn time.
Give me a reason why gmmtv made a bromance series?? I mean it's a company which make tones of bl series .. I can't…
The original was meant to be a queer series but they decided to shift it to focus on friendship instead. Still, even in the original version, you can tell it was written with a romance in mind and this adaptation does a very good job at keeping it authentic.
Besides that..we all know GMMTV produces very few non-BL series because they simply don’t perform as well, the fanbase is largely built around BL content. I mean if this show didn’t have hints of romance or chemistry between the main leads, it wouldn’t have the same viewership. GMMTV knows their audience and they understand that BL is what sells best for them and they’re aware that fans will invest in any storyline where there’s chemistry and a good plot. Even if some people see this show as purely platonic, it’s edited in a way that gives it a romantic vibe.
I have no idea if Sky or Nani have any interest in doing BL work but I know P'Tha is seeing the popularity of…
I think it really comes down to whether the actors feel comfortable and prepared for the demands of BL roles because they require a unique level of commitment. They would have a packed schedule with promotion events, sponsorship deals, fan meetings and more, it’s a lot more work compared to non-BL actors at GMMTV. It’s a big commitment, and they have to be in the right mindset to handle everything that comes with it but I would love to see it happen, their chemistry is one of the best I have seen in gmmtv, they would be very succesful and I know no director will be opossed to take them lmao, they will probably be fighting over them. But if they are not intrested in BL, just give us more bromances. We will take it.
It's not gay you're just perverted thinking every male interaction is romantic.
It’s honestly hilarious how shipping two characters ( a guy and a girl) is never a big deal but as soon as it’s two guys or two girls, people start calling it "perverted." After all they are just characters and if the chemistry is there, it’s only natural for fans to ship them! This double standard only seems to come up when it’s a queer pairing while no one blinks an eye if you’re shipping a straight couple. Plus, Sky himself said he’s totally fine with fans shipping them when he was asked about it, so I think people should just enjoy it without the extra judgment
This adaptation really respects the spirit of the original source and leaves it totally open to interpretation. I think you can choose how you want to see it, whether as an intense friendship or something more romantic and honestly, I think that’s what makes it so good. The actors have this insane chemistry so it’s no surprise that fans want to ship them and it’s even better knowing that skynani are cool with it! When asked about people shipping them, Sky literally said they’re fine with it which just makes me love them together even more. Their story is beautifully reimagined here and somehow still stays true to the original Korean version. It’s amazing to see that they preserved it.

I know Joker's brother just means well by saying their father misses his second son. But honestly I still hate…
Nothing says “good parenting” like trashing your own kid’s efforts every step of the way and then acting shocked when he’s struggling. Publicly disowning him and belittling everything he does to improve himself on top of that lmao. It’s like the dad is actively trying to push him over the edge. Honestly, it’s brutal to watch a parent treat their child like this and call it “love.”
Maybe this is an unpopular opinion but honestly, I’m here for the slow burn. There’s something special about how this show takes its time, letting tension build naturally instead of forcing everything to move at lightning speed. The way Jack and Joker exchange those intense gazes and have those quietly charged moments, UGH I love seeing it. Their relationship feels fragile like we’re watching them break through emotional walls one careful glance at a time and I am a sucker for it.
I’ll admit though, I could definitely go for less Jack and Rose moments. Not that they don’t serve a purpose for the story, they absolutely do but the energy between Jack and Joker just feels so ADDICTIVE that I start having beef with anything that is in my way of getting it ahem ahem (That is a me problem LMAO).
Oooof, never thought I’d be this hooked on a GMMTV non-BL, but this show has me in a serious chokehold! It’s insanely good and so underrated, more people seriously need to tune the fuck in
The first episode was decent. I appreciate that the show didn’t over-promise, the trailer hinted at humor and that’s exactly what we got. It’s light and easy to watch, I am not that familar with forcebook but they are cute and their silly faces did make me laugh
Hello, thank you so much too! ❤The show follows the novel very closely, and the ending is pretty much the same.…
Thank you ❤ If you go on jinhoeun's account on instagram, click on the third post - there is a comment left from the author, in the replies a fan asks about season 2 and that's when yoonsu says there is still a lot left
I absolutely love the representation of autism in this show, Mark is doing such an amazing job and I can’t get enough of him, my heart breaks when he is bullied PLEASE PROTECT HIM. Also, I have to say that this show is more gay than half of GMMTV's BLs combined LMAO IM SORRY but I’m serious, the way Saint and Shin look at each other has me convinced that some of the other BL pairings look like total amateurs by comparison. Their chemistry is so fucking good that I’m practically on the edge of my seat every time they share a scene.
Thank you for the review...and as someone who has read the novel,is the ending corresponding with the book or…
Hello, thank you so much too! ❤
The show follows the novel very closely, and the ending is pretty much the same. They included the entire book in these 8 episodes, but something exciting happened today! The main actor made a sneaky comment on Instagram when a fan asked about a second season. He said, "there is still a lot," which has everyone feeling hopeful! I’d love to see it continue because, even though I knew what to expect from the book, the ending still left me feeling a bit empty. I miss them already.
That would honestly be such a bad move. They’ve already invested a ton of money into this drama. Refilming it…
He does warm up eventually, so maybe give it a few more episodes and it'll click for you too. Personally, I could feel the chemistry right from episode 1 when Lan Wangji grabbed Wei Wuxian's hand and they locked eyes. That moment had all the tension. But for some people, the romantic vibe doesn't really hit until later on ☺

The untamed is a masterclass in subtle romance, especially considering the restrictions it had to work around. In the early episodes, you don’t get the in-your-face, obvious romance you might expect from a typical love story. Instead, the show builds up the relationship between Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji slowly, through subtle looks, unspoken moments, and deeper, symbolic actions. It's more about their emotional bond than anything explicit, but once you start noticing the details, it becomes impossible to miss.
It couldn’t openly portray their love as romantic in a conventional way, but it’s all there if you know what to look for. The ancient Chinese symbolism used throughout the series is loaded with meaning, there are classic references to love and devotion in Chinese culture too.
It’s not going to scream “romance” at you, but it trusts you to pick up on the subtleties. If you're paying attention, you’ll see how every interaction, even the smallest gestures, speaks volumes. If someone doesn’t catch that vibe, it’s probably because the show’s style is too low-key for them, so maybe it's just not for you or perhaps you need more episodes to fully get into it
me here waiting for the drama since DAY 1 and i still didnt have the time to watch the press conference and you…
Oh, sweetheart, if queer content is showing up on your social media, it's not some random cosmic event. It's not like your timeline was suddenly hijacked by the gay agenda. Algorithms feed you what you've been peeking at so if your page is full of queer dramas... well let’s just say you've been curious for a while. Your search history has spoken, darling.
Now, as for your attempt at a “roast”, you really thought wishing dad's were gay was the killer line? Babe homophobia isn’t the drag you think it is. What’s next, you gonna insult people for liking chocolate because you're stuck on vanilla? And FYI, insults like yours only show you're so triggered that your brain checked out the moment you tried to argue. If the best you’ve got is this level of aggression maybe save it for someone who's on your emotional wavelength or better yet, sit down and breathe. You're gonna need it when queer dramas inevitably take over your feed again. 😘

On that note, I found out the story is based off the author's real life and now I'm sad lmao. I wonder if he ever got his only wish♡
