Don't get me wrong, I want Pete's love to reach over seas, I want to see the unconditional devotion for the devil he chose to love but not this quickly, it's random and it ruins his character.

Leaving aside the fast paced plot, an other thing that I consider is a great loss of potential is that Pete understood the circumstances and decided to embrace it all, he gave himself to vegas and although the moment was wrapped in grief, the atmosphere should have been lighter, more intense but instead they decided to give us a horror song playing in the background and throw the camera on different angles. They could have used this opportunity to display their connection in a beautiful way but instead they made it seem dirty and emotionless

The thing that bothered me the most during the sex scene was the music, they played it off as if its a horror scene and that's disturbing because the grief was deep and the atmosphere did not match it at all

I'll separate the novel from the show real quick. Neither Vegas or Pete have shown any regard for “romantic” feelings and it feels like they are trying to squeeze them into the series with no screen time. This sex scene seemed more like a rush of emotions culminating into grief. This convicted sympathy was thrown out of nowhere and I'm sorry but they are trying to put 10 chapters in 30 minutes and this is what I call a loss of potential
