If you don't pay much attention to the over-the-top business and computer stuffs (movies just BS their way along in this area anyway), then it's a good series 👍 - Rinrin is cute - There are some believable emotional moments - The Popora anime studio is of course referencing Ghibli, so it's fun to me 😋
Pfft, the K-content production world has always been like this. If you are hurt about that scene or whatever, don't be. Remember that sh*t in King the land? Also, don't forget all the sh*ts Kdramas pulled regarding the VN war (how proud they are soldiers - only some are traumatized, almost all others are very proud I think) and sometimes how disrespectful when talking about VN. This stuff happens in Hollywood too. I think it's all disguised as having freedom and creativity in movie production and whatnot. IMHO, only thing to do: - Forget about the thing and watch the drama just for the content. If you can't: yeah, skip the drama. You can do nothing about these obnoxious snotty delusional movie producers, either Hollywood or Korean here. (1-star rating would be, on the other hand, wrong to the actors.)
It was very much a disappointment, as the drama promised depth yet only provided a surface-level spectacular and…
Unpopular opinion because it seems almost everybody here likes it a lotttttt and praises it to be a masterpiece :)) I think that's good because there should be different perspectives. Haven't watched yet; I *might* watch it in the future, only b/c of Kim Tae Ri. I think people who gets really upset about other's questions like "Does this show have GL because I'm not really into that kind" should calm their t*ts down.
He did NOT have to do that. Writer must have been really, really high on drugs for doing that. ML is NOT a representative of the UN or something. Really stupid writing.
Plot holes here and there, so it can't be a 10/10 masterpiece level like Twinkling Watermelon. But I still gave it a high rating here because I liked it a lot in the early episodes. Like how the cute interaction between the FL and her mother, and how early episodes (up to 8-9) enticed me and kept me wanting for next episode. FL is cute. - Too much unnecessary screentime for Ko Mi Sook, to the point that there was less time for the main couple and their families (or maybe that screentime wasn't utilized well). Mysteries around her but amount to nothing much. - Like they said near the end, the motivation and process of the culprit was not explained clearly at all (it was explained, but very inadequately.)
This was surprisingly good! It maintained the suspense and I like the pacing of the story. I would have rated…
Might be for another try to redo things a little better? Like trying to save the mother's sister and all. On the other hand, Idk too, I also agree that it's just a whimsical thing thrown in by the scriptwriter. Adds little value. Anyways, it's a happy final episode for a good series so let's just enjoy it. Not perfect, but let's enjoy it 😋
The main idea for the script is good, and it could be fun to watch the wives misunderstand and somewhat fight over the husband (I don't know, it's just cute to me, especially the scene where the other wife comes rushing in unprepared shoes to see if he's fine etc.). But the directing and smaller scriptwriting is all over the place (scene switching every 2-3 minutes and scenes are not linked in meaning at all; meaningless characters do meaningless sh*ts all over the series) So if you can endure through (mostly) bad production value, you can watch it :) I just wish this show could get the director and scriptwriter from great shows like Twinkling Watermelon then it would be a 10/10 (but of course, haha 🤣).
100000 times more worth your time than those cheesy dramas. I mean, not comparable because of the genres and all, but you need to watch this one. There are some slow parts but overall it is a fun one and has exciting moments near the end too. Little Mari is too cute :)
First 10 or so episodes were good, made me think of giving it a 9.5 stars rating. However, after watching up to ep 18, I can't and have to give it a 7 (could have been a 7.5, but gave a 7 instead): - It's ridiculous to omit the romance between ML and FL in this context/setup. They have such good interactions (up to ep 11. After that, FL just "kinda" disappears. A minus point at that too..) - Too many schemes among the various sides (typical weak writing seen in K-drama). Like, stop it, Korean writers. Go take a class from actually award-winning films or something. You don't need that many unnecessary schemes / plotting against each other like that. All over the place.
This series is total, absolute sh*t. Please don't waste your time by watching it. Reason: the ML is supposedly a "smart" guy (high score and all) but the way he works doesn't prove the "smart" part: - As others have mentioned, he doesn't have a plan B for when he loses his phone. None. Zip, zilch, nada. Yeah, for such a life-and-death business and matter to him, his best option is to act like a headless chicken when it happens. (And no, the phone tracking bit is not the thing that I'm implicating. That's NOT a backup plan; it's just a monitoring mechanism. Hardly help.) - In ep 2, he left the house with his huge mountain of money still inside - with somebody else also inside the house. Yeah, practically speaking, nothing bad will ever happen to the money (which his whole life depends on), right? We can argue that the situation is pressing, and he needs to leave asap. But for a dude claiming to provide "security", that's no security for your treasure, my dude. So much for a "smart" guy. Also, the story just doesn't progress at all. No development. I stop at ep 7 because the dude is still the same old pimp he was in ep 1, no change. I like anti-heroes too, but the story needs to be interesting. The female lead does not help. No offense, but she is not that pretty. And boring too. My advice: - Just watch Weak Hero Class 1 for lead with brain and determination. - Watch Boyhood if you want some laugh. The lead also has great determination (towards the end) too. - I haven't watched that many series (compared to some of you guys) so I myself are also searching for some good ones like WHC1. If you can't find more, maybe go (re)watch Death Note or something :))

Of course, advice is to not watch part 2 (ep 7 onwards)
