To anybody who is worried about point 7: Japanese idols are meant to act. They start as trainees. Fear not, they know what they're doing :)
(Do Korean idols act that badly? Is that why people don't want to watch Jdramas with idols?)

Key froze me completely with his last speech .__. poor Rinko :( I don't think she did anything wrong by confiding to her friends. Her friends should have probably kept their mouth shut, though :x so it's really not Rinko's mistake... also, SO SO MUCH LOVE for the third couple!! Yeess!! I love Tanaka Kei <3

Title Hwarang
The Queen's lisp distracts me so much :') HELP
Lisp, not lips. It's a speech impediment wherein one can't properly pronounce the 'S' sound. The actress who plays the Queen seems to have it.

If this is the way Asian dramas are changing... they'll catch up in 25 years. Sorry.
My standards I guess ¯\_(シ)_/¯ What I meant is, I don't see anything on the list as actually progressive. It's the same exact formula. Is it feminist content? I don't think so. And obviously Kdramas don't need to be, and 99% of people watching Kdramas aren't looking for that either, and I'm not saying it's wrong, but you can't pass any of this as 'progressive' or 'feminist'. And saying 'it IS progressive for their culture' is disheartening. Young Koreans and Japanese are pretty woke, but TV networks have yet to catch up.
