There so much to unpack, but the chairwoman is so bitter and pained. And she’s been that way for a LONG time. She was and still is a control freak, she “knows” what’s best for everyone (her son & grandson) that she manipulates those around them to bend things to her will. I don’t know what psychological illnesses she has, but the fact that she made DS’s mother leave her son and husband directly/indirectly put him in the killers path (with an assist from GH’s father).
The chairwoman’s brain is locked and can’t accept that. There preview made it seem somewhere that she was starting to accept the situation, but decades of thinking don’t change without hard work and therapy. And if it changes any little thing can cause it to revert to the way it was automatically.
Just my thought in that sliver of what you wrote, just ahh my opinion and some therapy I went through for depression. Your brain (well my brain) is used to thinking in a depressed way… it’s automatically that way now and it takes work and more work to make it change.

i didn’t mean for it to sound like I’m blaming the actors. Unless an actor can’t act, the way a scene turns out is up to the director. I just found the leads interactions quite unnatural. Maybe that’s what the script called for? except for the romance part I thought they’d have a friendship because they’ve known each other for years, but then they were separated… by that evil purple hair grandma! Anyway, I will check out VoTB and see what it’s like! 5 more MMM episodes to go!

Sadly you are correct! It was very good at the beginning! I like the FL in many other shows. She could have done a stellar job if they wrote her character a a full grown adult.. not a just “graduated high schooler”.
The ML and second leads are decent but acting alone can’t fix the writing!

In the US daily shows are call soap operas because back at the dawn of time specific products sponsored particular shows.
During the daytime it was mostly wives and mothers. That’s just the way it was at the dawn of time, right!
So fast forward to modern times… in the US any time 99% there is an urgent news event or the president speaks, they broadcast those days shows in the early morning (2am etc…) When you had a vcr you were golden!
Why can’t SK do that? Adding extra episodes or deleting episode… crazy!
