It feels wrong to empathize with a man we saw a week ago kill someone with his bare hands before his wedding. It is difficult to see a human fall apart and deteriorate, it reminds us of our own mortality. Also, thatâs not punishment or justice, but perhaps karma?
Iâd much prefer he keeps his mind and is punished knowing full well what & why he is being punished. Like another show, has the main antagonist just diagnosed with a terminal illness.
It kind of ârobsâ the audience of the revenge they want to see and that the perpetrator deserves. The smug superiority of the person who commits crimes with impunity getting their comeuppance.

I think the hatred from the boat issue was a little over the top. I understand we see the older brother permanently injured, but the younger brother was somewhere between 10 to 14 years old. It wasnât premeditated, it was an accident . They definitely needed family therapy at the time.
Also while Iâm on a role, communication issues are the crux of problems in KDramas. The father should have told the older brother the truth, why protect the mother that abandoned them?

If you can get past that, itâs a really enjoyable watch! Iâve seen the ML in a few different shows and some of his actions or looks are uniquely all the same.
