While I still think she needs to be punished for the assault on MS (with a hired adult thug), she didn’t kill MS.
SR’s family destroyed MS and took away her hope, future & dreams.
MS’s mother failed to see the downward spiral her daughter was in and her mother only promised to fix it. And it was impossible to fix because she didn’t have the means to fight equally against Min family.
She needed to get her help to cope with her PTSD. Maybe that’s the wrong term but it was a traumatic event. 😔

Regarding the FL not speaking - that was because in the accident when the Chairman’s son died and his daughter (FL’s stepsister) became deaf. The FL’s mother made her be mute so the chairman wouldn’t be angry the his stepdaughter wasn’t hurt and throw them out. 🤯 (Who would do that?)
So the older sister never knew she was forced to not talk by her stepmother.

To me from the US it seems women & adults have very little autonomy in their lives. If two adults love each other and want to marry then the parent/(s) say No & they often go along with it.
Even in this kdrama the FL’s mother was evil. Saying it was for her daughter, but it was selfish desire from the mother.
One relationship I liked, which didn’t happen often, the older sister actually cared about the FL. Except I didn’t get her reasoning at the end of the drama when the ML disappeared.
Also there FL told the ML he doesn’t get to decide his punishment as his choice effected her.

I get not everyone does, but when JI added an app to her mother’s phone in case her mother was brought to the ER… 😬 that’s great but how about avoiding trips to the ER? The conversation about that between JI & Mr. Do was strange… JI knows the SR even tried to steal her mother.And GM should not be out and about, but his mother is more concerned about herself than GM! 🤔🫣🤯
