Reading your post made a lot of sense and I don’t argue the point. Perhaps the graphic-ness was needed to show that? I don’t remember but I don’t think she was forced to engage with the younger male, she was under the age of consent I think.
I’m not opposed to sex scenes or nudity where appropriate. I don’t find forcing or coercion the right way to go about things. I certainly would have been able to tell a difference between the two men’s treatment even if the graphic scenes were toned down.
Be that as it may it was an excellent movie akin to literature - meaningful and raw.

Though in most kdramas (99%) adults choosing to marry who they want to is problematic. Parents often forced their adult children to date/blind date when they don’t seem to want to.
And when they find someone they like one or both sets of parents have a problem with the choice.
