He was angry but he seemed eerily too calm if he had heard what was recorded. His father, pleading for his life.

If EA doesn’t step up and tell the truth, the ML would be right to walk away from her. Your spouse should not be someone who lies to you > especially when they know how badly you are hurting.

I feel that MH would only help YR if she agrees to leave the ML. And choose him.

I know you feel for the 2ML, but if the FL leaves the ML for the 2ML, that would be shocking (& disappointing) to many!

Without lies whether for “good” or ill - many kdramas would not exist.

Ah, I understand the rationale and reasons for your thoughts about the 2ML.

I thought initially she wanted to take his mind off of hearing the sudden truth of his adoption. I think maybe YR didn’t feel equipped to discuss such a “traumatic” topic - at least in Kdramas. (Or the writer didn’t want to dive deeply into that.)
They were still in high school both perhaps not worldly enough to talk about the topic either.

Many kdramas don’t show the same
care or compassion or even a hug for support as western shows.

Speaking of support, what did you think of at the end when YR was so upset she was overwhelmed with tears in her eyes and the ML, though kind and caring didn’t wipe a tear or give her a hug! I thought she needed a reassuring hug.

So, yes she accepted him as a person, which is something uncommon (at least in kdramas) regardless of the fact he was adopted.

I believe she liked his brother and by extension since they were that same age or close to it & they all hung out.

As “kids”, both brothers bought her rings, a bit presumptuous, even though neither told her that they liked her in that way > more than friends.

The thing now is, I think it’s turned into obsession and he doesn’t care about her feelings. And his disappointment is turning toxic and evil.

Empathetically I would feel badly for him as he cared about her but respected her feelings.

I don’t understand the first part of that.

Yes, it can be heartbreaking & it’s sad that she doesn’t like them the same way but it’s better than lying to him and pretending she likes him and then disappointing him later.

I mean honesty can be tough, difficult to hear, but I think it’s the best policy. And honesty is often missing in Kdramas.

That is one of those things that causes the most problems - across the board.
