Not gonna lie, I am so FRICKING HAPPY she said no. I mean, she may seem all sunshiny and happy, but it has not…
Not that you need my support but you’ve says it perfectly well! I think there’s an expression “Love you too much to like you”. I think the chairman is having a temper tantrum after the FL declined his feelings. I hope the chairman will realize the error of his methods and apologize then giving her the time she needs. She is not rejecting him, in so much that she’s rejecting a new Romantic relationship.
Also SeRi’s parents are the worst. As a non-Korean their culture about parents deciding what & who their adult children can marry or not is so frustrating. And their views on divorced people being less of a worthwhile person is equally disturbing. 🤯
Poor Chairman. He prepared, waited anxiously, and spent all that effort only to be rejected. She has some things…
From the previews, which are often misleading… it doesn’t look like the ML is taking the mature way forward… And not for nothing but SeRi’s parents both need the WToD. They are horrible people that both deserve each other. Finally I hope HG won’t be bewitched by SeRi’s mother into believing SeRi wants to marry him. Ugh!
I think the Queen dowager is his (current king’s) stepmother. I think she wanted the prince that died to be…
I can understand how you would feel confused! There was a lot of dialogue and sometimes the subtitles wiz by!
Did you see the interrogation scene? That was pretty gruesome and I don’t know exactly what that method was called! I thought after that, the black puke wasn’t that bad…🫣🤔🤯
I was laughing at your post because everything you posted is exactly what I was thinking of as well. Too funny.
I thought the baby was really crying (irl), they have the post at the beginning of each episode about “children are filmed in strict…”. That’s was a bit too long in my opinion.
What was with that “interrogation” scene? Three women being tortured tied in chairs, all have blood all over their private area. I’m not sure what that method was, but it was disturbing. The Colossal Shadow isn’t as disturbing as that. 🫣🫤🤮
Been binging the show and I’m 2 episodes behind which I’ll watch later and I’m suddenly hating myself for…
I will give you one thing that makes the weekly wait (suffering) a little less painful… you get too to interact with a mostly good group of For Eagle Brothers watchers! When I watch an old show (older) there are far less people to share the experience with and gain insight and share frustrations with! It’s really great you are watching Desperate Mrs SJ, otherwise we would have the character known as Squinters! 😂👍🏻🫣 Yes it’s nice to be able to binge 50 hours of tv in a weekend but far less fun in an interactive way! 😬
Soon Ae’s life is a direct reflection of the survival tactics women in deeply patriarchal societies often have…
Have you seen the Kdrama: Joseon Attorney: A Morality? I’m only in the first few episodes but it explains a lot of how horrible the laws/rules were especially for women. And where the disdain against divorce comes from even in situations of abuse or male infidelity. It has been illuminating to how SK culture is where it is today.
I agree with Seri and Okbun but regarding Dongseok I feel like it’s because he feels that she could be interested…
The length of time someone is married doesn't equate to the depth of their love. She is / was considered an older bride. So it could be thought that she hadn’t met the “one” until she met JangSu.
I wrote elsewhere that she is an adult and should get to decide when she’s ready to move forward and pursue a new relationship not on her mother’s timetable or the Chairman’s.
It seems that the SK culture is diametrically opposed to adults controlling their own lives when it comes to many things, but none more than marriage.
To step in to non-fiction for a moment, if this is representative of real life of what adults go through where their parents have the authority to force or reject at spouse… with SK’s declining birth rate… it seems like a system that needs some adjustment. Imho

No, not my usual genre for sure!
Though it is very entertaining!

Did you watch ep 7?
That’s was a bit too long in my opinion.

I’m surprised the FL’s mom got caught so soon (via the evil husband)!!’
Once caught, she owned it…
Steer clear of that family! 🫣
