However, the drama script might've changed a lot from the novel. We shall see.

I know what happened, I was following closely with it. Victoria's votes were proven to be hacked, a fan or whomever hacked the system and upvoted her by thousands. She went from no 1 to no 3. It didn't make sense bc she beat ZLY.

However, Golden Eagle Goddess is rigged. There is no possible way to custom tailor a dress to such extent in such short notice. The results were revealed and the award show was soon after. The dress would take weeks if not a month to custom make, have to take measurements and such. So, from the start, Mango or hunan already have the winner, they just wanted a battle to create attention and noise. It's also the least respected award the past few years (right after Reba won), it was a beauty pageant instead basically. The public didn't take the award seriously, and it was a known fact that who ever won would be bashed. Victoria won and she was ridiculed. Then, the following 2 year (golden eagle goddess only happens every 2 years), GEG didn't happen, hunan terminated the event during the award.

So, if a rumor about 7 winning the goddess award, it's fake, bc the award no longer exists, it's cancelled. Most importantly, she doesn't benefit winning. There's no presitge winning this title.

I feel like it was a given when the ml is a CEO and fl is a smart but still newb/naive lamb starting in the busuiness world that it would be a cliche type of plot. However, it's how they execute the scenes and how the actors portray the emotions and behaviour that make this drama so successful, that everyone, in China at least, can accept or overlook this typical plot. I dislike the slow mode and zooming in at different angles of one kiss or blatantly making something awkwardly and cringingly romantic like heart shaped back drop lights randomly shining when the ml professes his undying love to the fl. That is cringe, however Abay is none of that. HT and JX doesn't need these extra decoratives to magnify their love or romance, instead just walking down the streets at night to a wonton restaurant with her hands wrapped around his arm showed their intimacy and fondness to each other. I rather enjoy these small glimpses of their relationship like a normal regular couple.

I get why some people say the plot was mediocre because there was nothing special of the plot or storyline it’s a classic idol type romance drama, but what stood out was the main leads acting and their on screen chemistry. I think that was what Carried the drama

For people that say this drama is mediocre or no chemistry between the leads...well Hunan thinks differently as offical cvb has been announced and Abay is the official champion of 2024. Even beating Shengli, a drama by ZLY ( I love and respect ZLY btw, and Shengli was also very good). There is still 4 months left of 2024, so lets see if a drama can beat Abay.
