I agree that HT and grandpa has different views on suitability. Grandpa is more superifical meaning education, background, power/influence. While HT view compatibility in terms of idealogy, values and beliefs, work etc

Currently, I don' t think there's any good dramas out. I heard maybe Vengo and OYNN has a drama coming out, reminds me of Liyitong's Demon Girl. But I'm not interested in it bc the age difference is too startling for me. Like appearance wise, it looks like a 40 year old man with a 16yr old girl. Not something I can stomach.

Yes, I was having a heartbreak after watching the bonus scene. Same with the novel too.

Thanks for sharing! I also thought he dropped the orange. For some reason, I immensely enjoy their kissing, compared to other cp kissing. They kiss like they actually want to kiss each other, no hesitation just going for it, but in such a gentle way like they are actually in love. It's pleasing to the viewers, at least to me. They kiss with affection and makes it seem like they enjoy kissing each other.

I whole heartedly agree, and I cried during those scenes too. I started getting emotional when I saw HT having grey hair on his sides. But, he still look especially dashing as he aged. I think I feel heartache bc they made the character mortal with age and death, compared to to other dramas where they may end it off with marriage in their youth, so our impression ends there. They are immortally young and happy in our minds, while they ended with JX/HT's death of old age.

HT/JX couple is still going strong, so it's best to give it some time before Shu starts to air. Also there the Olympics so it's better to air after the games are done.

I'm not sure if you know of the famous line in the drama/novel is of HT's view in love. He also mentioned it in the drama already, but he said the love he believes isn't the whirlwind love that he can sacrfice everything and die for her. But, he can probably give her the kind of love in which he can keep her company and live an ordinary daily live. A love that he belives lasts until the end of life, and when he (we) look back (retrospectively), he/they will have a definite answer/conclusion on whether if he loved her.

So, the flashbacks or rewind from JX symoblizes their love for each other. She got her answer, that HT loves her very much, bc every moment, every memory they had with each other was of love. HT really proved to her until the very end that he loved her in his way.

In the novel, the rewind was of JX's last memories as she was thinking of the past before she died in her sleep. It's almost like a dream for her. Gosh, I'm crying as I'm writing this. This drama, their love, JX and HT characters has really touched my heart like no other story has.

They will be together forever in heaven, that's the only way to console my poor broken heart.

I watched the bonus ep and I cried so hard. I didn't cry at all for the drama, and when I watched the bonus ep I was afraid I would get emotional and cry and I did. Seeing their marriage lives to the end "till death do us apart", and the rewind symbolizing the meaning behind HT's love. I'm crying a river. Their love for each other, I feel like I'm trapped and can't get out, at least not until Shu Brocade comes out.

I was squealing when I watched the bathtub shaving scene. I've watched the bts long ago and it was also sweet. In the drama, when he looks at her he's so smitten and infatuated. Playing with her earlobe too. Only a person that in love would play with another's earlobe. One of my fave scenes of them together.

To each their own. I really really enjoyed this drama so 40 eps wasn't enough for me. I wouldn't mind another extra 10eps, if the side characters were limited.

That’s why HT thinks JX is so compatible with him, The share same values and belief as well they understand each other. It’s hard to find and add that with love and it’s just explosive. They were just meant for each other.

They are so natural in the drama, it's like a real life couple. For an idol drama, this is the highest grade level in history, nothing will be able to compare.

When I read the novel, I was captivated by HT, so I was worried that in the drama the spotlight will be stolen by HT, and truth be told it is kind of stolen. That's ok, Shu brocase will be fl centre and yingying is no fool, she's going to create her own journey and route in her era. I'm looking forward to see another smart fl role come to play.
