At first I was sad and wanted to avoid their breakup, but I'm slowly getting bored of the sweet moments and need some angst action knowing that following that would be even better sweet lovey dovey moments.
I just saw so many releases of their reconsiliation so I'm ok with the break up now haha. Knowing it's just going to be even more sweet after they make up
I can't help but just sigh whenever JX mentions Hanghai in the car scene and HT plays dumb and consoles her. From her perspective, when she finds out the truth I totally get that she would feel betrayed by HT. I feel like HT is trying his best to prove his feelings for her by getting approval from their family members. He's scared of losing her and using this kind of like an emotional leverage.
xyx tells lili he won't marry her but he'll give her a wedding ring...it's like a slap to her face. Not every girl is so progressive to be ok not to ever get married or have their own special wedding. If he can't promise her this, then he should back off, bc right now he's like a scumb bag and he only ever thinks about himself and his family.
HT, he never asked JX's opinion or consent to combine Hanghai and Xingcheng together and he makes the decision himself. I now realized he used Xingcheng as a front as a disguise for Hanghai so his sister/cousin wouldn't find out his secret card.

I totally understand you and I really liked HT in the novel and everything that you said I have felt. However, I told myself that sometimes they don’t adapt closely to the novel because it’s hard to portray these things and it’s sometimes boring onscreen. For Example, RTH, 7’s drama was based on a novel and they Adopted the novel to drama very closely to the T, and I really enjoyed the novel but watching it onscreen was kind of boring. I just hope HT doesn’t end up like his previous character in bce then I’m good

Grandpa is slowly starting to accept Jx. It’s not that she dislike her it’s just that he wants someone that can stand by HT’s side that can take care of him, herself and the family business and that’s a lot of stress and responsibility. But grandpa is slowly seeing that JX can handle herself well
