Apart from weird goldfish flashbacks it was fun, but definitely more goofy than I expected and I had to skip some "funny" scenes that were dragged out forever. But I loved the guy omg, I'm gonna miss his voice so much. :'<

Arrrhh... I think the main guy is great, I really like the villain woman's writing and acting too, it feels kinda unique, but the main girl... I'm at ep7 and I still can't like her. I think it's not particularly the writing of the character, though she IS written as quite dense which can be annoying, but I have a bigger problem of the actress. I'm so not a fan of her acting omg, it feels like she is over and underacts at the same time, which is quite the "talent"? It feels both way too much so it's annoying and not enough to make me feel anything towards her... Her default look is all tense all the time as if she is holding back a fart. It's driving me mad. Everything she does with her face feels extremely fake and just frustrates me. I think the character's flaws could be redeemable with a charming actress's acting, but she just falls so flat for me. I find nothing charming or honest about her, it's actually pretty rare for me to be so against an fl, as I'm a sucker for romance, and I've encountered a decent amount of fls, but I can only think of one more that I annoyed me (was even worse than this). I do want to continue the show as the mystery is pretty interesting, but there are just more and more scenes with fl and I'm soooooooooo annoyed to even look at her. Like seriously I don't want to be mean, but her performance is just one of the worst I've seen, like it's not even that obvious why, but I just feel no heart behind it, nothing lovable, nothing real... I might have to drop this.

I swear, recent Kdramas just treat their viewers as absolute idiots. I'm at ep 1 and they put in a flashback at the 11 minute mark!!! you think I don't even remember the first 10 minutes I watched??? TT____TT

Hey thanks for the deep brainstorm, it didnt feel rude or anything, thanks for sharing your perspective, I was mainly interested in how gay guys see this as they might have a deeper understanding of the community, so it's all cool!
It's still hard for me to support an age gap relationship, I'm a sucker for balance and equality in relationships. And especially with gay couples it feels somehow especially unfair, because of the younger person's vulnerability. Being gay doesn't neccessarily mean a bigger challenge to make choices, but we are still living in a world where most of the time it can still cause more emotional turmoil and I believe it might even affect finding your own identity later than average. Because of this young adults might feel more confused and in need of support. But using this in a relationship feels unbalanced when the older person is already through the identity search. So again this could be too much assuming, it's just the vibe I get, and I feel like normalising this through shows might not be the healthiest. As I get older it becomes more and more clear how odd it is to go for someone significantly younger than you, you start seeing people 10+ years younger than you as literal babies, no kidding.
So putting these in shows is a choice, but if it's not for fetish purposes (which im not into either tbh) than it feels like it could encourage the mentality of this, showing it as something good when it holds lots of risks and unbalance.

I mean I'm totally aware it's a real life thing, I find it sad though, because I have seen the aftermath of such relationships... it's a very challenging path and I don't find it very romantic. It also has so much less for the couple to share and bond over, that's just how it is, people have different interests in different parts of their lives. The older one especially knows that, and I don't like that, it feels extremely unfair towards the younger person.
I think nowadays it is less common and not as accepted with straight couple romances in media to have a huge gap, but I still see it is a common troupe in the BL genre, and not frowned upon at all, which I'm confused about. I know it doesn't matter much if the couple is just in it for the sex, which can be a choice of course, but BL shows are often about choosing a life-long partner (even if it does try to appeal to the horny girls with sex scenes), so for me it does hurt the romance part. So that's why I was wondering if it is more like a fetish thing, trying to appeal to the audience who wants to see only hot men make out and not really think about the consequences and the future. I could be wrong and it might have other origins, as you meantioned. Maybe there is a chance that in the gay community it's more common that younger people who feel more lost and sticking out of the "norm" want to have partners who feel sort of like their provider as well, giving them a safe place. Again I could be wrong about this too, that's why I was genuinely wondering why it's a more accepted common thing in BL shows.

is age gap a fetish thing? genuienly asking, like is this a thing in the BL audience? I'm not into age gap in any romance as it is something not very healthy, in the long run as well, but I realized it's often a thing in BLs that doesn't seem to disturb people.

I'm at the last episode I don't want it to ever end!!! But it's honestly better because my heart can't take it, it's been so good, I've been crying so much, and I love happy endings!!! I'll savour this last episode. I can't believe how good this was, I'm in shock, these scriptwriters worked overtime for real, this much heart in one show??? omg for real what is this??? I'm so so happy I found this series, thank you!!!

wth is with this series??? I keep crying my eyes out, it makes me feel so much, I'm so invested in it, what is this??? how is this so good?? I'm at ep 23 and every episode has me on the edge of the seat or in tears!!! /I admit I skip some filler sceens/ But like what's going on??? This is so good what the hell is this??? omg I'm so happy I gave this a chance!!! When I'm not watching I'm thinking about it!!! and what is up with the older korean series vibe?? this has much less filler, the makeup is much less, the lighting is less perfect, it's so much better looking than the new shows, it's much more natural and feels more real!! I even grew to like the horrible wigs!!! and what is this why is there so much diversity in this show?? I love it so much, so many different lives connecting and bonding, what is thiiiis??? I'm seriously shocked and obsessed, it's been a long time I've felt like this towards a series, omg I'm so thankful for the feels it makes me feel!!! I'm sad it's gonna end, but it also drives me mad that it's so long and I can't binge it in one night, but also I wish it was longer!!! And what's up with the faces of the characters?? so many are assimetric or have some uniqueness, I love it so much, I'm so tired of seeing perfect faces in nowadays korean shows, it's so much more humane to look at these faces instead, like look at dong ju's goofy eyebrows, sometimes they are having a little dance of their own, it's so charming and cute to see real looking people with their unique facial expressions!!! My heart beats faster just even thinking about this show!!! I'm so in love with this!!! I want more of this in today's shows omg!!!

oh dear, I read all the comments about the last episodes of this show... yet I still ended up watching the first ep out of curiosity, and it was so damn good, it got me hooked, now I'm worried what's about to come. :')

woah, where did this 8.1 come from?? xd I mean, ehh, it is I guess a deliberate concept to make the fl's personality very unlikeable, but yeah, that's not easy to turn around. I ended up not really liking her all the way, the guy was too good for her, but it did feel kinda good to see her cry or feel bad at the second half, but just because the movie punished her for being a jerk, it doesn't really change her or erase her wrongdoings. I'm not against flawed characters, but I really didn't feel the source of her bad personality, so I couldn't really explain it away except her being just a jerk?

Unsure about the ml's acting tho, he is not doing much I think... and he always looks kinda sick? Probably because his makeup is not very good. And his dubbing is also not too good... the girl is a much better actor and voice actor I think, she is cute!

Also can anyone help please? I skipped through the first ep multiple times, but I cannot find a scene where ml tells fl about his condition, like at all, but in later scenes they act like he did??? I'm so confused about it.

huhhh why is the description not mentioning that there is a weird fantasy thing in it?? I just liked the concept of the bodyguard romance, it's super weird to see a guy having menstrual cramps TT_TT
