because I like romance genre and some of the older, pre 2021 romance dramas were pretty good, atleast Kdramas.

As an example, take 'Wonderland of Love'. This exact trope with these exact scenes play out. The Fl abuses ML to save 2Ml and even chooses him. in this one, even after FL and ML are married, the 2ML for a whole episode rolls around with FL.
That's how overt the threesomes in cdramas are. These writers will insert FL getting maximum mileage from multiple hot men, for obvious reasons.
