I'm really surprised this drama has such a low rating. I would say it's a 9 for me. Story, acting, scenery, and CGI are all very pleasing.

The Fix is in. The Grand Perceptor is a sly piece of dreck. That beast with bad breath is intimidating but persuadable. Shi Ying is obviously liking the smell of Zhu Yan's hair. They are building a bridge together as they head into the future.

On ep 7 and I can see why he doesn't want the busibody bird to see him in the hot tub, that beigy crickled shirt is not very flattering - a bare chest, no matter how puny, would be much better. Why do the ML always have to make these ridiculous oath when we know they will have to break them to make the drama interesting? Big Bird is getting his rocks off, how fair is that?

The evil ZiShang is leading the baby Crown Prince astray in his quest to get his hands on Yuru.

I'm on episode 29 and it seems that now that Jiusi and Yuru have kissed and made out there doesn't seem to be anything for her to do.

Only just finished the first episode and my take away is - sometimes it's too bad female leads have to get older as they don't improve with age.

This actor shows up in a zillion dramas in support roles and what I see him doing relentlessly is frown in various stages of intensity. I find it so amusing that I'm always on the lookout for his peculiar trope.

This has got to be a 10 star episode. Victory and consumation. First I always wondered who feeds all those tens of thousands of defeated troops? That general friend of the new emperor is a piece of work. He constantly talks shit about Jiusi, Yuru and his own son. The general finally sees his son is smarter than he is. Is there a female general in the wings?

Why hide this comment? It applies to many of us who can't get enough watching this great actor.

Same here, grandma is pretty hard to take but eventually redeems herself. The drama is well worth watching for all the other characters - good and not so good.

Just started ep 19 and just loved the 'pussy payback' and so on that GJS inadvertently gave his 'buddy'. I love it whenever a donkey comes into the picture. Yuru is sticking to her plans. Even the sour-faced concubine is put to work. Let the face-painting begin.

Having read the book you can anticipate what happens if they stay true to it. I suspect at some point Zishang is going to kidnap Yuru and would put our lovers at risk. To combat the slowness I've speeded it up somewhat but can still read the subtitles.

I just limped my way through episode 17, for some reason the action on the site kept hesitating every few seconds. Very sad the Gu business is folding, but at least the young family members are on the same page. I still wish they would get a little romance going sooner than later. Juisi has such a cute face and his ears are the most adorable.

Yes, their continued timidity is getting a bit tiresome.

I loved the birthday celebrations except for the end. The Gu fleet is on its way, not everyone is onboard.

In episode 12 Yuru went totally whine-ass trying to get her mother to leave her husband. I thought she's supposed to raise that concubine's son Mao? This was a turn-off for this character.

I'm liking it and have given it a 9 rating. I don't know how or where to rate every episode.
