so what is the 2nd ml'# deal? he was into Rong till fl showed up and then bc of her confessing and stuff he fell…
Zhuang Xu’s problem is emotional insecurity. Because of the class gap, he believes he isn’t worthy of Nie Xi Guang yet, so he convinces himself he can wait until he achieves success and come back for her later (and some other misunderstandings). Meanwhile, the ML wins her simply by being sincere, present, and decisive — loving her as he is, without making her wait.
It is kind of explained in later episodes. Before accident his friend said that she invited him to party (but…
Yes, this is slow burn romance, but somehow not boring, there are a lot of emotional or cute scenes. I think I did some fast forwards on business scenes but it was hard to do that with mains scenes. FL is too pretty to FF her :>

That is what I like a lot here. There is early rejection but done well(not breakup). Feels like all episodes are just progression of love story. Official being together is something around ep 23-24.
someone help me.. in which ep ML and FL meet? the 2ML is annoying shit out of me for no reason.. I just completed…
I was waiting for that too, I was not interested in 2ML at all but I knew he is important for the story. If/when I rewatch this drama I think I will skip first 4 episodes :D
Is the FL suppose to know the ML? Have i missed something? In episode 5, The ML mentioned about good memory. He…
It is kind of explained in later episodes. Before accident his friend said that she invited him to party (but he only heard last name and it wasnt her but daugher of her father - yeah complicated). So it was misunderstanding. He knew her because he saw her in past but she didnt knew him - but he thought she somehow do xD
I liked it a lot. First we had "First frost" and "The best thing". Now we finished "Love between Lines" and "Shine on me". Between those last two I think Shine on me was a little bit better, but that is just my opinion. Love between Lines is rather not a rewatch for me, but I would like to watch some youtuber/patreon reaction to this one :)
I really loved this drama and ended up binging it in just three days. It is a true slow-burn romance, but the pacing is done so well that it never feels boring. You can clearly feel the leads growing closer with every episode through small moments and emotional development, which makes their relationship feel very natural and satisfying.
For those worried about a love triangle, there is a second male lead with a connection to the female lead, but after the first few episodes his role is more focused on the story rather than creating ongoing romantic conflict. I also liked that most of the drama is set around 2012–2013. I was afraid there would be a big time jump, but the story stays in that period and uses it effectively. The only time jumps are in the final episode, and they are done beautifully, giving a lovely glimpse into the future of the main couple.
I think it depends on whether you were mentally prepared or not. Personally I started this drama late and am watching…
I am also happy that I knew there will be messed up ending, so I was thinking to either not watch those last 7-10 mins or watch just to check how they broke it in this series. And I was actually suprised since it was not bad at all (at least for mains :) )
can u explain to me the censorship thing? Idk how it works
There are strict guidelines on what can and cannot be shown on screen. If the story included forbidden elements (ghosts, time travel, alternate histories), the ending reframes it as just a fantasy or dream, so it doesn’t “distort reality.”
So in practice we usualy have first few minutes or few last minutes of the drama making entire story not real. And usually it is like that, other dramas I watched really make it terrible way. In this one I think they managed to cheat the censorship and not really make it "fake".
this drama was everything, the couple gave us the most cute scenes together and a lot of chemistry. until the…
I just finished this one too. With dramas under censorship, the last 5–10 minutes usually end up being terrible and feel rushed just to skip around the restrictions. But honestly, this one was actually good—or at least the best I’ve seen compared to others in a similar situation.
Ok, I just had to write this right after finishing the last episode. I already knew how Chinese censorship works…
The whole drama was supposed to be a dream while they were both in a coma. But when she woke up, she remembered everything. She rushed to find the male lead, who had already quit his job because of the trauma from the elevator crash. When they coincidentally ended up in the same elevator, it was clear he was confused and didn’t know she had experienced it all too. But then, after the elevator shook, they held hands and smiled—showing that they both knew what had happened in the “dream.”
Ok, I just had to write this right after finishing the last episode. I already knew how Chinese censorship works in c-dramas—I’ve seen two others with similar issues before—and usually I’d be super mad at endings like this. Especially here, since the comments are terrible… but honestly, the ending, even with censorship, was actually good! I really liked it! I also think there are some trolls here, because I’m pretty sure I read a comment saying he died or something. But lol, even with the censorship, it was still a happy ending.
Just finished it. It took longer to watch than I expected and usually watch rom-coms. It was not that great because main focus was politics. It was not bad either, just all those politics thing were boring after few episodes. It is still fine to watch for "romance" (even with fast forward of most scenes). Their kisses were perfect. One of the best in all k/j/c dramas i watched. I wrote "romance" since best part of it was those kisses.
what ep do the main leads get together as a couple
Before episode 18 the main couple does have a brief period of distance, but it’s not really a breakup. The female lead has her reasons for not accepting him right away — and honestly, those reasons are quite understandable. After a sweet and flirty start, they take a short step back to sort through their feelings. But don’t worry, after episode 18 they come together and stay solid until the end!
