I like how they were inclusive of sexual orientations but the display of characters were a bit stereotypical. Maybe it's the image that has been created by many other western dramas before
After following Iz*One for a while and watching this show, is really like a battle arc in a shonen anime the hard training, friendship, bonds, the rollercoaster of emotional, underdog to champion moments. I just can't wholeheartedly root for one contestant, you can't help but wish victory for everyone competing. Iz*One has become more special to me now.
I have watched Suspicious partner, Little women and What happens to my family? and Kang Seo Wool is Nam Ji Hyun's best character look-wise, style-wise and personality-wise.
I hate YYH character the most. Atleast SJK was true to his greed and stayed consistent. YYH just says she is too shameless and cause problems for KHJ and then again comes to him crying like she is the victim. KHJ was such a simp, he lost two of his children yet he speaks like he is doing some noble cause. His actions can't help but make me wonder "isn't he not caring too much because they are adopted". KHJ is just some naive fool, YYH is a selfish hypocrite, SJK is just evil. I thought these 3 were the worst but looking back only few characters were good others were just blood sucking parasites
The looks are too deceiving in this one, this is 5% family drama and 95% melodrama with the usual violent violin…
Tell me about it. You can see the story line and how it's all gonna unfold in the first 10 episodes. But you had to go through another 120 episodes to get to that breaking point. Just when you think something is gonna get revealed a ridiculous lie. I appreciate the plot line but I just hate the fact that it took too long to get to the point in story that I wanted. This is like watching a shonen anime with 80% of filler episodes
Ok I hated Kim Do Jin at the first sight, then I thought maybe I was quick to judge and later realised my first instinct was right. His character regressed so much he became a 10 year old, childish, petty and big fat whiner! Also what's up with the Donghae and group always warning the enemy so that they could hide their tracks well, it's not once or twice and they never learn to be discreet.
I'm wondering who adopted yandere concepts from whom, was it Japanese who adopted it from Koreans or vice versa. Sometimes I need this much of crazy so that I can get rid of all my hatred and frustrations chanelling onto the characters
Completely not related but just sharing my thoughts....The house setting reminded me of my childhood (2000s houses in India). The kitchen, bathroom with no showers, middles class houses don't have a bed or multiples storeys but the vibes is almost the same, that color tone in the movie is exactly how it was during the evenings when the sun was about to set. Coming back to the movie, to me it wasn't bad or good, it was something that I would watch once. Neutral.
Well sometimes the story was a little.... but the OSTs of this drama are really really really good. So soothing and beautiful. Atleast I got the couple I shipped in this unlike First first love.
