i just watched ep 7 with eng sub on viki and does aoba confessed to sou at the ending? because i can't believe…
yes! it was so cute. I was swooning when he grabbed her to sit back down and when he pulled her in. They're beautiful together. Can't wait to see them finally progress on that level next episode.
Oh man, I was on the EDGE OF MY SEAT holding my breath, waiting to hear his voice at the end of ep 7. I think it's beautiful that she stopped him, and it carries so much meaning, but I selfishly *really* hope she still gets to hear it at some point.
Im confused- did he just "get over" his stomach disease? The drama began with him needing specific things to eat to prevent a relapse in his symptoms but he eats whatever is cooked for him now, and even ate spicy foods at restaurants when they travelled. Just wondering if it was just a plot device to get her to experiment with cooking, or if its still actually relevant to the story.
Soooo, this asshole is just going to keep arbitrarily jumping into HTY's life for his selfish purposes over and over and im supposed to like him? No thanks. I empathized with him in the beginning but after seeing the life HTY leads, and how much he blossomed when he finally received the love he craves, i just dont GAF about SC. Hes beyond selfish even if he thinks his reasoning isnt. Im on episode 6. Hoping my view changes. Either way, i vastly prefer HTY over SC as a character.
Edit: caught up and literally no change in my thinking. HTY is by and large the most interesting character and i empathized with him from start to finish. SC wasn't just "morally grey", hes rotten.
producer Murase said "From ep 6, the spotlight will be on people who have not been portrayed much up to this point"
I was glad to see this. As beautifully written and captivating these episodes have been, I feel like Sou has been very left out and I'm dying to see more of him.
Goodness. I'm so glad I didn't rely on the MDL comment section before deciding to watch this drama. I loved it, and I became a HUGE Huang Xuan fan because of it (and am currently scouring his other dramas). To each his (or her) own.
I think it's a lot easier for people to just sympathize with Ayan because he is the one with the best intentions…
The original trailer showed Akk having a breakdown in the shower, I hope it translates over into the newly edited version of the show (or is shown elsewhere). I agree how important it is for us to see that happen.
I stumbled upon the original trailer, and man, it was dark! I hope some of those scenes made it to the reshoot(if that's what happened?). There's a scene in the shower when Ayan and Akk are emotional, which was heartbreaking. It would be sad not to see that play out. Same with the scene when Ayan says he would choose Akk, and Akk says he hates him (and we watch Ayan's face utterly fall apart in tears). I hope those scenes made it through.
This show has some issues with plot, it really feels like more of an emotional character drama than the fantasy…
I think you've misunderstood what the plot is. The Eclipse is about liberation and coming of age and how the youth realizes that "traditional values" can be discriminatory, especially to the young LGBTQ+. They have a hard time coming out and accepting themselves because of it. The eclipse symbolizes how the old beliefs can cast a "shadow" upon generations if it continues (all notes from the original book's author). If anything, the trailer may have made that a bit misleading, but I assume it was intentional, as is the gullibly suspicious students, so we peel back the actual meaning with time.
If they troll us again, I will be seriously pissed.
Deleted my comment- I rewatched the preview to find the clip I was talking about and realized the fake-out kiss on the boat was the one I was thinking of.
These cliff hangers are frustrating. The preview for this episode (7) had some scenes that werent even present, so that felt a bit misleading. Love the show so far though.
Akk and Ayan are both gorgeous. The way the sun hits their faces on the beach 😍. Lots of people commenting on Ayan, but mannnn, i couldnt stop staring into Akks big puppy eyes, and his lips are 🤯🤯.
Edit: caught up and literally no change in my thinking. HTY is by and large the most interesting character and i empathized with him from start to finish. SC wasn't just "morally grey", hes rotten.
