I'm 18 episodes in, and honestly, I don't feel like there's been much character or plot development. So far, the highlights for me are the ML's martial arts skills and the interactions between the second couple, but that's about it. I'm not sure it's worth continuing at this point. The only things keeping me curious are finding out who poisoned the Crown Prince and what kind of person his father really is by the end.

I only now saw this comment after posting mine, but I do consider as well that Meng Ziyi's characters are always the same, at least the dramas Ive watched so far with her, and no, I'm not a hater at all! 🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️

Meng Ziyi is as beautiful as ever. This is the fourth drama I've watched with her. Previously, I watched "The Heroes", "Blossom", and "Princess's Gambit". However, I feel like her characters are becoming repetitive, they're always the same: smart and cunning.
I hope her next drama will be different, although I doubt it. At least the one with Lin Yun Rui will probably be similar to these four.
I've watched the first four episodes so far. I'll keep watching until at least episode 15 before deciding whether to continue or drop it.
