This last case was so sad as well. It’s a pity that two such good and talented friends ended up in such a tragic way. At least through her actions, Pei Yu gave women the opportunity to stand out in what is considered a so-called profession for men.
I would rate 5, This drama sucks so bad.Bai Lu is always standing there. When director say Go... she comes to…
Please, just leave. There are enough of us here who enjoy drama and detective shows. Go find something that suits your taste, and don’t waste your energy writing a hundred times that this drama is bad!
The second case was so sad. I was impressed to see how the seven maids took justice into their own hands in such an ingenious way, even at the cost of their lives.
I actually wanted to watch this drama for Cheng Lei, but after seeing the first episode I realized I’d seen this storyline somewhere before. Now I’ve found out that it’s actually a 1:1 with the short drama ‘How Dare You’. 🥲🥲🥲
Neah. I only now saw this drama is 1:1 with the short drama "How Dare You". I didn’t understand why the scenario seemed familiar to me, now it’s clear.
I really liked Bailu’s entrance in the first episode, she looks stunning in this drama. She was just as beautiful in Feud, but here she somehow looks even more gorgeous. Her martial arts didn’t really convince me at the beginning of the show, but in today’s episodes I can truly say I’m satisfied , she handled it wonderfully.
I can’t say the same about WXY, he seemed quite stiff to me, at least in the first three episodes. From episode 4 onward, the ML feels much more confident. I also liked his grey hair, it actually suits him really well. I don’t see any chemistry between the FL and ML, but I know the drama isn’t focused on romance, so that doesn’t bother me.
The cinematography and the costumes are also outstanding. One thing that bothers me here, and also bothered me in "The Wanted Detective", is that they never arrive in time to save anyone , it’s really frustrating, and I hope this won’t keep happening throughout the whole drama. The opening OST is to my taste…
I’m really excited to see Bailu in this kind of role. I love female leads with martial arts skills, and she was great in "The Legends", even if the fight scenes were limited.
I hoped that at least in this drama, the ML would go back to being the same ruthless person he was in the first episode, but no , he never really returned to that, pity. I was happy with the outcome for the sisters and the scholar. Bai Luo turned out exactly the way we all suspected from the very beginning. The last six episodes were really unnecessary; it felt like I was watching a completely different drama. They could have wrapped it up nicely much earlier.
All in all, it was a nice drama, nothing groundbreaking. We’ve seen this kind of formula before in dramas like The Double, Blossom, and Story of the Kunning Palace, but it’s still a good watch, especially for those who haven’t already seen the dramas mentioned above.
