First time watching Cheng Xiao in a negetive role and she nailed it. Love her❤️
I don’t know what she nailed, because up until episode 8 there are very few scenes with her. I think she appeared in the first episode, and then again for about 5 minutes in episode 8. That’s about it so far.
How stupid Yang Yi Tang and Xing Ming are to try so many times to get rid of Wen Can, they don’t realize they’re only causing more harm, and the FL won’t choose either of them anyway. I don’t know what the deal is with this so-called “monk”. I didn’t expect him to be skilled in everything: martial arts, medicine, and the tea business . I don’t really buy the idea that he suddenly realized it’s worth fighting for the FL. I’m eagerly waiting for the ML to return to his "episode 1" form, both in attitude and appearance. The first 4 episodes were quite good, nothing boring. There’s no time to get bored with so many characters being introduced. I really liked the first episode where both the FL and ML were introduced, it was a strong start. I’m not very familiar with this beautiful FL, I’ve only seen her once before in “The Journey of Legend.” I like her role here, a beautiful, independent, smart, and fierce woman. I was surprised to see Hou Ming Hao so different here, maybe because until now I’ve only watched xianxia dramas with him. I really loved his style in the first episode, dressed in black, hair tied up, tough, smart, cunning, and cold. It’s a pity that the situation changed starting with episode 2. This year I’ve watched a ton of dramas with the “poisoning” and “memory loss” theme, which doesn’t excite me at all, and I hope he’s just pretending and that within this one year he has remembered who he really is. I’m happy to see many familiar faces in this drama. I hope the next episodes will be just as good as the ones that have already aired.

It’s the first time I’m watching a drama with this FL, she reminds me of the actress from “When Destiny Brings the Demon” The 2nd ML, even though he’s new to me as well, seems quite interesting, he’s definitely a good guy. The story reminds me of “Feud,” or at least the first episodes. I wouldn’t be surprised if the FL is pretending not to be Ning An. I’m curious about “Glory,” which is being released today, it's probably going to be more my cup of tea!
