Although I understand what you mean, I feel there is definitely a point behind Gaoâs grievances. Imagine working day and night for a project just to let a another guy come in at the last moment to say âYou have to follow me to winâ No matter Gao wins or loses it was his battle since Li Xun and Zhu Yun didnt join competition. Both of them has a personal motive. I am not against that. But the way Gao gets talked to by Lixun in this episode is pretty maddening
The slowest ever burn like its almost real. Its awkward n I am kinda feel its dragging all over the place. Didnt feel anything for both main characters. Actors did a great job. Its that der is no depth sadly. Maybe I shud have watched prequel before to feel love towards characters. But I took advice of some comments and skipped prequel because of the sad ending.

If I put myself in Gaoâs shoes, I also might have been really angry. He obviously grew up as a smart kid. And it might not have been easy for him to swallow his pride and learn and make friends with Li Xun for the sake of his âgreater goodâ future. And even after putting in lots of effort he gets sidelined and made like a machine with no decision or say. I get his anger.. But I am not justifying his betrayal. But I can see how his resentment grew over the time. Maybe Lixun lacks the empathetic element but I wish FL was more so.. But I get it.. she is a flawed character. Nice but flawed.. I agree with you, Technically this drama had lot of good points. Like music and cinematography. And I definitely agree this was such a breath of fresh air among all those cringey BLs that was coming out of Thailand at that time. It had potential.
