I think you are talking about My dear loser...I agree with you on aspect that I think it was one of Nanon's best…
I dont know why you didnt feel chemistry, its kinda astonishing for me. Even people who criticize Bad Buddy for story usually agree with their chemistry. But as I said personal preference. Also from what you are saying, it seems you enjoy dark genre more. I am not a fan of slapstick comedy but I like Korean drama like Mr. Queen, which is loud and funny and maybe unrealistic but interesting. Bad Buddy is more on romantic side I would say.Like you to be a bit sappy to enjoy romcom, I guess. (In a way I am dissing myself). There were many comic moments in series though.
As for fight scenes, I agree bit tooo much. And its not unrealistic lol. It happens frequently in my country. I am from Asia. We have had cold wars between different faculties. Even physical fights between different engineering departments. Often juniors who have nothing against each other just follow seniors because it is just the way it is.
Bad buddy was never meant to create thought provoking conversations imo. Just feel warmth and smile a lot. I did anyway. Also I do pride on myself being able to enjoy different genres. I enjoy dark thrillers in addition to romcoms.

Oh boy! if you have skipped all scenes after EP2 except Ohm's shirtless scenes, I guess that is one of reasons you didn't see Nanon's acting. I would suggest atleast watch EP4 and EP5. But acting wise, my personal opinion is Nanon did really well.
About the show in general, I don't think its Heaven on Earth. I myself think there are many plot inconsistencies and some parts I wish could have been better definitely. If you are someone who enjoys realistic plots and hate anything fluff or romcom in general, the show is definitely not for you. I mean its purely personal preference. And I enjoy romcoms, even if they are not exact same portrayal of real world. I did find it not at all bland. I enjoyed the comedy and romance part. The chemistry was one of the best among all romcoms I have watched (and trust me I have watched almost all out there untill 2017 in almost all languages). Then again its personal preference.
I dont watch just BLs or just romcoms. I am not gonna say I am an expert, but as a veteran for more than a decade. I wud definitely say Bad Buddy is one of the top tier "rom-com". Again if you are not fan of romcom genre, its not for you. It deserves 8.5 rating.
Ahh.. the poor acting and the language is driving me crazy.
Language part, I agree. Especially tonal language like Thai is very hard to digest. As someone who have watched almost all language dramas, Thai, Korean, Chinese, Japanese, I would say Thai was most difficult for me to get adjusted to. But its just matter of time. Slowly it wud be okay
I am well aware that MANY people out there absolutely adore Nanon and think he's a great actor. There is just…
I think you are talking about My dear loser...I agree with you on aspect that I think it was one of Nanon's best roles. I don't think he is a bad actor in other series as well. Some scenes in Gifted are really good. It is just that he never was outstanding or extraordinary in other series, untill Bad Buddy. Have you seen way he emotes with his eyes. I would dare even say it was close to perfect. That and Oh from My dear loser is his best roles.
Why the rating for this series is so high? Its even higher than the gifted, which is better than this seriesIts…
If you follow Korean dramas, I can give you an example. Strong Woman Dong Bong Soon is a romcom which has 8.5 rating and Defendant a thriller Korean drama which is critically acclaimed also has similar rating. So rating is representation of how much people enjoyed the drama and its pointless to compare dramas across genres. I really liked this series and Gifted as well. I wud probably give them more or less same rating
I have watched many lakorns but I am still confused as to why male lead who supposedly liked enough to marry another girl suddenly is now madly trying to kiss/make female lead..Just watched ep 1. Maybe I will continue to watch just for Mike after it airs completely
Only thing that puts me off is the very very bad quality of video. But its understandable considering year. But one of the 'sanest' and interesting lakorns I have seen
The drama where I loved the second pair too much and felt like lead OTP was dull and boring. Their relationship felt merely like a plot device. Nothing against the characters though like they were really okay in a sense and I liked friendship between characters( minus QiQi) and all actors were really good. First half was good with their school life and then second was like becoming little too mellow but Lu Zhi Ang and Yan Mo made things interesting and going for me.
Why is the rating so low??? I liked the drama. Almost 10 episodes left to watch but still definitely don't deserve 6 rating around 8 I think. Atest upto what I have watched.
Oh I didn't read the novel, but as per my deductions from other's comments, what I know is Xiaosi and QiQi supposedly sleep together(as per comments its not really sure also Xiaosi was drunk at that time)and due to their betrayal, Li Xia leaves all of them and gets married with another guy. Xiaosi gets repeatedly attacked by one guy thru rumours and stuff and he tries to hurt him, so Zhi Ang gets angry and accidently knocks the guy out. And he goes to jail. Yu Jians boyfriend dies. And Yan Mo waits for Zhi Angs return and they kind of get a happy ending. Thats it. Sorry I kind of suck at summarizing story. From clips I have seen on youtube, drama is exactly the same. So prepare all the tissues..sobs.
This drama is really good. Like it doesn't have any explosive moments but the friendship is so warm and romance is really good.Am I the only one who really likes LZA Hes such a great character.
I mean it was well and good at the beginning like the kind of story where its cute and not much deep anything but just fluff and it was short too.. Then the ending I was like WTF...But its short and didn't waste much of my time. So for the good episodes in the beginning I would say worth a watch once when you have nothing to kill your time.
