I loved the story, this drama deserves better ratings. When the ML cried at the end, I cried too. Beautiful ending.

episode 3 is so funny; i swore i laughed till i cried my tears out... iu wearing pajamas in almost an entire episode is bold and pure comedy!!!!

it gets better after episode 3; i'm now at episode 6 and i'm seeing signs since episode 4 that pei wen xuan and li rong aren't the only ones who traveled back in time.

i just hope china would not turn him into another zhang zhe han or zheng shuang.. it's not fair at all. so nonsense

I hope all goes well for zlh. My hope is that he will be mentally strong and hope he survives this phase of popularity that blew out of control. i'm not from china but the crazy rage and attacks all over the platforms.. ouch.. did all of them started because of a silly joke that sounded "racist" or what from the variety show? i think he was just being childish but nothing harmful. it didn't sound offensive to me at all (being a south east asian myself). and seeing him and TXW both acknowledging lin jj as their favorite singer, proves that he shows a lot of respect to him, and lin jj is originally south east asian chinese too... i've seen zlh had collaborated with SEA artists/ model/ etc and he was respectful to them too. & the comment from the military side is kinda harsh... he's not a soldier; he's an idol . And how his face looks on screen is determined not by himself alone but the makeup team/ directing team. in this case, it's not the sword or gun that kills the person; but words & hands with misplaced prejudice, ego, judgment that bring about hatred and sorrow. Words can kill a fragile soul hanging on a thread & i certainly don't want seeing another news of suicide.

i notice there are many similarities with pursuit of jade. feels like li wei being reincarnated into changyu... hahahaha but i still can't help smiling, enjoying the show. sometimes, i also see xie zheng in prince zheng.. i must have watched too much of POJ previously

is it the cameraman's skills? is it the director's skills? is it the production's team's? is it the scriptwriting? every angle of camera brings out all the actors' and actresses' beauty and impressive acting. i think the main leads' acting is at their best & even every side character is able to show off their good acting skills.

The story is layered isn't it; some lines have hidden meaning and i discover i missed the small things in my first viewings, only to realize & understand after rewatching...

I'm rewatching from ep 1 the third time...and i'm not even getting bored. i think this is the 1st time ever ive done this for cdrama.. oh god, what's happening to me.. i rewatched ep 24 like 5x; comedy at its peak.

This drama is an absolute hidden gem; i watched it last year and i'm still waiting for season 2
