Is it just me, do you find that YAMG has a lot more marketing than TLB? Does YY have really good resources?
Both leads are Tencent's brand spokepersons and are also liuliangs. Plus this is based on Gu Man's novel and they're aware they casted the right people to portray the characters, as if RB YY were born to play this. RB and YY's active fans are also huge, they gonna do anything to boost the traffic. The CP feel is so strong it's even trending on wb, whilst WL-RB got mixed reviews cause some thoughts they were like siblings instead of actual cp (no offense but its the truth). YAMG got big combo from all sides. Understandable they invested so much on this, so promising.

As far as I know, it doesn't. Because everytime there's announcement about views count, they only mean the total on that link/main server. They have separate servers between global and domestic, that's why not all contents there are available on global app/site. But as I said, our contribution on legal app/site will reflect on their internal data. Why do you think they treat Thailand region the most special (among all countries outside mainland)? Like, they have fast-track feature for so long already (p.s only recently Indonesia got fast-track feature), plus they even held The Untamed concert there in 2019. They even had confidence for holding that concert on the same day as EXO concert, in my opinion it was bold move because EXO was huge yet they were not afraid to lose audiences (it was possible there were fans who love both). They definitely had internal data to make such decisions. Making judgement based on internal data really is real, for example few months ago Tencent announced "drama of the year" etc based on their internal data! 😆

it will only count if you watch on Tencent Video (both web and app). We TV (global ver of Tencent Video) doesn't show their views count, but watching on legal platform means showing support and giving appreciation to the drama itself and people who involved to it. Plus they will have internal data to define its success. They won't know this drama is doing well internationally if their internal data doesn't reflect it.
I love how they showed gaming parts. Other dramas didn't even show it because their budget couldn't afford to buy the license (for example: Love Scenery). Other aspects from this drama are good too, truly show what S+ class is supposed to serve. Everything is really great, the plot closely following the novel. I've seen Dilraba in maaany dramas and I think this is her best acting, maybe because she only has to be herself (a top star, have great mind) haha. Yang Yang's acting shows improvement too, he's good! If you think this drama is boring, maybe this drama is just not for you. This is how the novel progressed and me, as a novel reader, without being biased I can say they adapted the novel super well! Please note, this drama IS NOT an e-sport drama. The gaming part is just a tool to our main leads to reunite after lost contact for years.
