Based on what I watched there was no actual one night stand too. But I remember LYZ told SZR she might not be as innocent as SZR thought (he then held himself back from telling SZR about 'their past'). If it was just collapsed why he told SZR that? Collapse from being drunk was really normal and nothing to be ashamed. Then if we look at the synopsis from novel, it stated DXS and LYZ had one night stand. I guess something was missing from drama, like being cut.

I understand what you mean because I have the same thoughts! It's odd how I find this pairing doesn't work because both Dongyu and Xu Kai have over flowing chemistry with their co-stars in other projects. However, the script of Ancient Love Poetry overall is really good and it's enough to make me watch till the end~ hehe. Of course this chemistry aspect will affect my final judgement for rating later. Even so, I'm planning to not rate it below 8, that's how good it is! 😆
