that's literally me. mine was 23 dramas long, but i didn't realise how burnt out i'd be after exams and I'm still…
samee, omg I've either been napping or being busy with applications the past few days... tried to keep up but I just end up watching smth else instead 😪 yepp!! flourished peony definitely and will try to watch dream of splendor by the end of the year 🤭💯
How is this so far? The synopsis isn't telling me anything and I'm not one for sports shows. Wasn't on my watchlist but I prefer watching dramas on air so if it turns out to be good I'll get #fomo lol... should I give this a try?
This is the first time I read the source material before the drama adaption, and I definitely recommend the novel to everyone who loves reading books and at least found this drama okay! It's far more compelling and the character's stories hit deeper as their personalities originally were different there. I just finished the show and found it's romance and the OST to be its strongest points. The leads' chemistry was strong and they were super cute together but the way the conflicts were handled, everything felt too sudden and story-wise it was definitely rushed. The teenage arc was definitely better than the adult arc: I was close to giving up during episodes 20-25, but the ending was much better! I'm glad that some of my favorite little details and dialogues were adapted despite the major changes and the short length. Also, Zhou Wan's proposal was so heartwarming!! 8/10: Realistically a 7.5 but +0.5 for the leads imo. An okay show with the good overweighing the bad :)
Also found that Bao Shangen did a lot lot better here acting-wise since I only watched Youthful Glory before and I found her facial expressions to be off in that one
6 is "liu" in chinese and his last name is Lu. they sound similar and since Zhou Wan was embarassed/shy to have him in her contacts because other ppl might see, she saved him as 6
Waited for 2 years but by the 1st episode, it seems it's not my cup of tea... probably would've enjoyed it back then ;-; loved the intro animation tho I'll wait to read the reviews until it's fully released. Might pick it up again if it has a good rating To the rest of y'all, enjoy watching! ⸜( ˃ ᵕ ˂ )⸝
I'm so glad to hear that. Hope you will enjoy these dramas as much as I did! 🥰 Please keep in mind that Oshin's…
Thank you very much!! \(^o^)/
I see, I'll definitely watch Midnight Diner first as it sounds like my cup of tea. As for Oshin, that's pretty plausible. Whenever I do end up watching, it'll probably be for the long run since I always need time to recover from long series' episodes! 🧡
first of all WOW WHAT A CAST!!??? phew second, to those who have watched it: is this better or worse than princess silver? bcs the synopsis reminds me a lot of that one
I had added Oshin and Midnight Diner to my watchlist a few weeks ago since I really liked reading your posts and reviews. Just now I remembered I want to watch more Japanese dramas in the future and I'm glad I found this list on your profile! Saved some to my ptw 🥰

(also Moonlight and Archives since he did a great job there)
