I don't think I've ever been more confused over a show's rating on here. Only 7.7??? It deserves at least an average of 8.3 (I personally gave it a 9 out of 10)

After reading a bunch of translated tweets about the finale, it seems like 8LOOM (in the show) didn't disband, they just went on hiatus 🙏 And I wonder if the "Let's 8LOOM again someday" that was shown/tweeted is a hint at a sequel or 8LOOM reuniting in real life again someday. I'll take anything they give us!

Is it gonna be the same cast as season 1? Last I heard they were just "In talks" for season 2.

The synopsis states that Asuka is 30 at the beginning of the show (so in the flashback she was 25-26) and since Dan was a high school student in the flashback he must be 21-23 at the start of the show.

I see that several people aren't comfortable with a romantic relationship between Dan and Asuka because she was his teacher 5 years ago, which of course is a valid opinion, but wasn't she only his teacher for a week? I'm asking because I'm genuinely curious if I'm misunderstanding something, because in the flashback in the first episode she said "Mr. Toyotaka is out sick, so for the next week I'll be your temporary homeroom teacher". Also the fact that Dan didn't know about the hate she got at the school or why she quit definitely also made it sound like she didn't spend a lot of time with his class.

I haven't watched past ep 7 because I'm waiting for subtitles, but I read translated tweets about ep 9 and from what I'm understanding, 8LOOM chose to disband at the end of ep 9? Can you explain why they want to disband? I really hope they change their minds about it in the final ep or that it's written really well, because right now I don't see how it makes sense for the whole plot/point of the show.

My favorite scene was probably when Dan says "you don't have to aim for a full flower mark, what's wrong with a circle or a triangle? and even if you don't have a flower mark I'll always think you're the best" and Asuka then starts crying and asks them "Is it okay if I don't have a flower mark? Can I just be like this?" that scene nearly had me in tears. Because she always thinks she has to work harder and that she's never good enough, so the way they conveyed that she doesn't have to work harder or be better, that was so good. And then when Dan gave her a flower mark, even though she doesn't have to earn one he just thinks she deserves one anyway, that was so sweet.

This is honestly one of my favorite shows so it saddens me that it's so underrated. I feel like the plot description is a big reason why more people haven't seen it, which is annoying because it's much more than that, and the bodyswap is even really well done, with the way they also explored gender and sexuality.

When did the show get another episode? Wasn't it only supposed to be 10 eps long?
