i totally agree with you that high ratings have nothing to do with quality of the show ,due to ratings a lot of crappy shows keep going while the best ones are cancelled (especially in US), thats the reason why people are "worried " about ratings, i was just referring to the part of your post,where you said "who cares" :D, thats why i wrote what i wrote

you cant be serious ? ratings are the only thing that counts for tv stations, tvshows are getting cancelled because of the low ratings, some dramas are shortened if ratings doeasnt meet the expectation
