Again, with the "presentism." I clearly stated in my reply that by present standards, it wouldn't be considered "scientific," but it was sufficiently accurate & effective for ancient eras.

And for the record, because scientific theories are founded upon inductive (as opposed to deductive) reasoning, they can never be proven, but only DIS-proven or falsified.

(Oh, by the way, I studied theoretical physics in school, so I have a pretty good idea how science works.)

Has it ever occurred to you that in a distant time & place, what counted as appropriate contextual cues for determining sex & gender were vastly different?

For example, in ancient Chinese times, long hair was regarded as a dead giveaway that the person was male. In contemporary Western society, not so much.

If you're just going to stick to your present-day provincial perspective, modern Hollywood movies are widely available & accessible.

Not sure, because I'm relatively new to MDL, but didn't it start out as a K-drama site? Even now, MDL publishes more articles about K-dramas than C-dramas plus all other Asian dramas combined. And don't K-drama MDLers easily outnumber C-drama ones?

This would suggest that on MDL, C-dramas are underrated and their ratings more trustworthy (or at least less un-trustworthy).

So theoretically, if doctors know the baseline HR of their patients prior to pregnancy, they could make a good estimate of the (conditional) probability of pregnancy from a Bayesian statistics point of view...along with other priors & contextual cues (such as "morning sickness" or "hot flashes").

Is this "scientific" by contemporary standards? No, but fairly accurate & effective in ancient times without modern technology. This tradition wouldn't have been around for thousands of years if it were a complete "myth."

In traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), turtle soup is supposed to boost vigor & vitality (essentially energy aka "qi" in Mandarin Chinese pinyin).

I see it as somewhat analogous to the Western psychological concept of "flow state," but with a more physical component (e.g. increased blood flow).

Others (including some commentators here) interpret turtle soup as a kind of ancient Chinese "Viagra!"

There's absolutely no reason why mature & secure K-drama fans cannot admit that, in some respects, C-dramas are as good or better than K-dramas. I have no problem acknowledging that K-dramas currently make better modern mystery
& horror series, for instance.

Unfortunately, not to (biased) South Korean lovers...that have a bigger fanbase for dramas to back up their (biased) opinions.

That's why I intentionally placed quotation marks around "lowly" & "inferior."

(1) How can anyone adequately answer your question without knowing your personal tastes & preferences?

(2) By merely glancing at the ratings & comments, it's not that hard to figure out that plenty of people find this C-drama worthwhile.

(3) The minority of people (unless they're trolls) that don't think this drama is worth watching likely won't be hanging out here to see your question, let alone answer it.

(4) Based on your username, I'm guessing you're a typical K-pop & K-drama fan who wants to see us C-drama fans beg you to watch our lowly & inferior (to biased South Korean lovers) Chinese entertainment

Either that, or you're seeking attention and validation because in the time it took to post your comment, you could've seen for yourself whether this C-drama is worthwhile (to you). But maybe you don't want to risk wasting a few minutes of your life on a "lowly" and "inferior" cultural experience.

China has nearly one-and-a-half-billion citizens (approximately one billion netizens, give or take a couple of of hundred million).

They must all think ZKL is better than CL, so they must all be "crazy."

I would say that someone who keeps watching dramas from a country whose entertainment industry is not improving at all is the "crazy" one,
but I don't because I try not to mock other people(s) or cultures that don't share my point of view.

One of the cast members got cancelled, which explains a lot of the editing issues.

But I'm sure even your cinema student "friend" can successfully and completely edit out an actor with a not-so-insignificant role because s/he (they) must be an AI expert as well.
