JC's master is such a poorly written character, it makes me sad because she had so much potential. you're telling…
it's not even that she was "written" to come off as someone you should hate, her character was just butchered so hard that it's not even possible for me to hate her. I just hate the writers ๐ the only purpose of her character was to move JC's plot forward.
JC's master is such a poorly written character, it makes me sad because she had so much potential. you're telling me a trained assassin wouldn't notice her sword (the one she's likely had for most of her life) is fake? so many other details like this just pulled me away from her character ๐ญ
hmm the dubcon element doesn't sit right with my spirit but i guess since ruo wen is hot yall brush this off๐
I'm 2x speeding through his scenes ๐ I don't really care for that storyline, but not skipping entirely since I'm sure it'll converge with the main story later on
Viki is slower at updating because they do fanmade subs, so when the ep is released it takes another day generally…
oh, interesting~ always thought viki had the best subs, so I guess that makes more sense. I'm sure they put more care into them compared to these other platforms... tencent AI translated subs ๐ can't believe I'm paying for that.
This is maybe something I stupidly missed in the last few episodes, but didnโt Jiang Ciโs master say that…
I initially wasn't too bothered by her character but now you've got me thinking about it more ๐คฃ I still do understand her perspective, but at the same time... WZ's words should have at least planted a seed of doubt, even if she doesn't trust him. and if not WZ's words, the current state of Yueluo. if XH actually was conspiring with the emperor, why would Yueluo end up in that state? of course the emperor could have betrayed XH, but that should have definitely made her reconsider her beliefs. I know she's less concerned about knowing the truth and more concerned about JC's safety, but her character really has no depth.
This is maybe something I stupidly missed in the last few episodes, but didnโt Jiang Ciโs master say that…
yes, he helped them hide, but people don't always keep the same loyalties. based on what /she/ knows, he was the only one who knew where they were hiding, so he must've had some responsibility for it. her line of thinking isn't too unbelievable. and since she's held this belief for over 20 yrs, why would she willingly choose to believe his son?
Mini drama can also be better than full length drama which often dragged imo coz they hv no time to serve BS,…
I was wondering that myself. sorta feels like a combo of a mini drama & regular drama, so I understand where op is coming from. like, the styling, faster pace, etc give me mini drama vibes. but the writing isn't too bad, I'm fully engaged & so far nothing has really pulled me out of the story (aside from the fast progression of ML & FL's feelings for each other ๐ )
