what are the points of ep 5 and 6 who resolve around those scenes if you remove that scene in the first place…
certainly there are many portrayals that are responsible and do it not to titillate but to show the gravity. that would be a good portrayal. this spit in the face of any gravity, and did it entirely to shock/titillate. otherwise it wouldnt have been filmed like you film a smut scene! its absurd what you are trying to defend here. this is a good series otherwise must we defend its one obvious flaw?
i think i would rate it higher if it was what i was signing up for. but this is not a romance, this is a drama slice of life with romantic subplots. and because of those misplaced expectations i felt it grew very very tedious. i did like the characters, but the main character was dragged against his will tward some character development and it was so darn tedious.
its a high quality ensemble drama. its not a very good bl romance.
Years later and I am back to say this had one of the hottest, steamiest, most sensual, loving, intimate kiss/makeout…
i avoid tragedy endings like the plague but this comment made me watch this. the on1ly one has no ending and still i couldn’t stop thinking about the way their love for eachother was tangible and swoonier than any sex-forward bl ive seen thus far. i want to find more depictions of love like that so you sold this to me!
i think the on1y one opened me up to being sympathetic about step siblings in love(it was my first with that dynamic) but this, THIS is all the way wrong. i guess theres a reason i see people memeing about and dreading this trope. it seems done horribly 99% of the time.

and i totally still believe if that was their first kiss instead of the rape scene, you couldnve had almost all scenes after and instead of a laughable and insulting portrayal of post rape suffering you could’ve had porsche staying up all night and everything after because he was kissed without consent and discovered he has some feelings for a man he thought he hated. because yeah, thats how “seriously” it was taken, not rape serious.

ok we have different opinions, but i doubt even you would call this a good portrayal of rape(and all it entails). its not good for the story, its not good in the messages that get imparted to viewers.
after finishing s1 and reading the synopsis here, im out. I struggled with teh the first time, but i cannot stand love triangle plots where the person is genuinely swayed. its a pet peeve.
i hope someone can help me if i have the wrong idea or something.
