Is it me - or the article has a lot of broken links/images? Also why is he mentioned as Wok? Is that a nickname?
In any case - I love this guy since the first time I knew of him in some random variety/award show when he was still modelling. Thought he was humble and very handsome, and had hoped he would make it to mainstream work soon. And it did happen via movies - Soulmate and 20th Century Girl.
Again it was not that massive, and while I did spot him in Weightlifting Fairy KBJ, it was the shitty drama - Strong Girl Namsoon where he actually shined because of his character - Ryu Si-Oh. Oh my that was tragic villain done absolutely right â¤ď¸ and then Lovely Runner happened. Tbh I was enamoured by Lovely Runner, though reflecting back now it seems like another phase. I then saw Moonshine and thought he was great there too. He is actually quite good as an actor - am not that delulu to say that he's a method actor, but given the right script/role - he fills in the shoes very well. And of course, always good to look at too! Plus from whatever we know from his real life interactions, seems like a humble good guy too - so definitely worth being his fan.
Though yes - I really hope he gets more projects, good projects and diverse from his LR role, else he might get stereotyped and compared a lot to the previous roles. I think he's do really well in royal/historical roles, more Ryu Si-Oh villain-era please, maybe some action roles or sports based films/dramas, man should try it all~
But one things that y'all should know abouth this drama was "Bapaku adalah kakeku" emng anjay
Ahhh - please use spoiler tag đđđ I did not know the language - which made me more curious and use Google Translate. I was on Ep 7 when this happened - NOOOOO!! đ đ đ
Hi @lo_ve - the article's first link of the actress' name (in subtitle: Actress Park Jin Joo has revealed that she's getting married next month) is leading to this link: https://mydramalist.com/articles/edit/22868
I was clicking it to go to the actress page but ran into the Article Editor page.
"This story had more plotholes that cartoon cheese, but let's be honest, we've all wanted to try that cheese. And the imagination we had about how it would be to taste that cheese was almost as fun as eating actual cheese.. this metaphor has gotten out of hand."
Never did I imagine that a plot would be equated to the cartoon cheese. This was so funny and witty - I love it! đ§đ§đ§
Steve has big role in drama, it's not just cameo but very important role or more like SML (not love triangle one…
So worth watching the drama then for him. Thanks a lot - big role means a lot of screentime I hope? Also can you spoil - is it a happy ending for him, or decent ending at least?
I'm not a fan of Bae Suzy, and avoid her works. Don't ask me the reason, I myself am not sure - its just a vibe thing. The poster of this drama had already put me off and it was never in my PTW. I still saw the ratings and reviews and they look pretty bad.
BUT - then I saw the cast having one of the actors I admire - Steve Noh (what is he doing here?) Anyways - for anyone who has completed this drama - can they share if Steve has a big role here in the drama, or is there in passing/cameo? Cause the only way I will fast-forward and see this drama, is for him - if his role/character is amaze-balls! Do let me know - thanks :)
YASSS The special episode is already confirmed by TVNđâ¤ď¸
Okay - I also happened to see an MDL article that shared the same. But looks like its going to be BTS and some commentary by cast/crew - not like a spin-off or explanation of the last episode how King came to future. Many of the social media posts made it seem as if it will be a mini-episode which shares how he came to the future. The images seemed believable as if they were cuts that were not used in the final show, and will be shown now. But I understand it now that it must be AI generated
Anyways - excited to see what's the special episode all about :)
I hear there is going to be a special episode airing on 4 Oct 2025. IS THAT TRUE? (Yes? Okie Dokie Do~~ not sure how many will understand this, but the opportunity presented and I took it đ)
But seriously, I see it on social media, no where else so came to the place that will have most accurate info - MDL, let me know, chingus!
JCW and DKS - powerhouses of acting and good looks. Add the genre of revenge which is one of my favs - so how can I resist? Excited to watch this show, hopefully the story and execution matches the expectation that's building up for it đ¤đťđ¤đťđ¤đť
Also, this is a remake of "Fabricated City" which was an old work of JCW and I had watched it but it was meh, in spite of my love for JCW. Really hoping this one redeems the past work and is a hit!

Finished S3 and have a lot of thoughts - but the main three are: 1) looks like even this series is going to have…
Questions: 1. Understand that Borderland is purgatory - but then why is the judgement between who lives and dies from here-onwards, based on games? And also games that are borderline cruel? 2. Who made these games? The Watcher is just a caretaker of sorts - so who's the creator? 3. Citizens are players who chose to stay. I am assuming even the staff that's monitoring the games are also past players - I want to know what is the incentive they got to choose to live in Borderland and not go back? 4. Further - Citizens and Staff are there, so there must be some kind of "Supervisor" who guides them. Was it The Watcher, or someone else? 5. The whole realm of Borderland is not created via science, or kidnapped in actual. It is their soul/consciousness that travels. So there is an element of supernatural, then why is there so much technology in use in the games, and who is managing them? And who is teaching others on how to use it? 6. Was the Joker Card defeated? And are there 2 cards or one to defeat? 7. Banda is dead, then what about - Yaba Ouki, where is he and up to? Is he the other Joker representative, like Banda (they are not Jokers as Watcher said its a card, not an entity) 8. Looks like there would be S4 - or a global version to this show, as the games are bound to continue - since cycle of life/death will continue. And the last scene was all about Earthquakes, and the US men sitting near the window of the restaurant - was giving such a "Final Destination" vibe
Finished S3 and have a lot of thoughts - but the main three are:
1) looks like even this series is going to have a US/Europe adaptation just like "Squid Games"
2) I almost screamed with joy seeing the actor playing the role of "The Watcher". As he came onscreen, it was blurred at first and then came into focus. I was really praying that it is one of the well-known J-actors we know of, and as soon as I heard his voice, even in blur - I knew who it was. He is one of the most well known Japanese actors so I was wondering why he was not in this franchise that has such a global reach. Guess the longing was answered in this season. Not taking his name in case its a mild spoiler but just FYI - his initials are KW.
3) For me Season 1 > Season 2 > Season 3.

This is entirely basis the live action. I have not read the manga, but know what's in it via social media posts/websites. Anyone who's completed the series, would love to know your thoughts on it - feel free to share :)
IKR! It was so enjoyable that didn't realise that it is almost at the end. And yes, very happy to seen it as well, they should keep making fun dramas like that.

Since I don't have anything to watch currently, I guess will give this a try - solely for Steve Noh. Thanks again!
