Take your time! We all appreciate what you do a lot, but we don't want you stressing over this. Take it easy and…
Thank you! I really appreciate that. I'm slowly but surely getting back on track, so hopefully it'll be easier from now on. Thank you again for your nice comment.
Sorry for the three month pause, everyone. A lot of stuff is happening lately, most of it very stressful. If I find myself struggling to maintain this list, I might seek out someone else to help me. Hopefully it doesn't come to that, but this list means a lot to me, and I really want to help keep my fellow BL lovers informed.
er but 13 midnight museum is just bromance not even gay romance / boys love / BL =X but okayyyy thanks for the…
Yeah, I normally have little tags, but I don't have the time right now. Midnight Museum falls into the "secondary BL" category. Mark and Junior play two boys in love with one another near the end of the series. But yes, the leads are only hinted at best.
Also, this particular list is far from finished, so unfortunately there's a lot missing. I made it in response to a request made on my other list of action/horror/unusual BL. But one day I'll get back to this one. Life has been insane so far this year, so I'm falling behind in everything. Even my upcoming list, which I update religiously, has been pushed to the back burner. I'm hoping I can get back to it soon.
Got my hopes up when they said it was coming in 2025, but the silence since makes me wonder. Stranger things have happened, and Thai shows can take ages sometimes to finish. But I'm not so sure we're getting it, so I need to sort of accept that and move on. Total shame, since it was a unique story for a BL.
I repsect the reasons given for each. There are enough tragic ends in reality. I don't want to watch them in fiction.…
Her is like a PR nightmare. I have no idea how it got as far as it did. But I'm with you, I'm not watching that one.
And that's it exactly! I watch shows for relief from reality, not constant reminders of how miserable life can be. I can just look out the window or pick up a newspaper for that.
Hey,Just a message to thank you again for the great work you kept doing this year with this list, BLs are one…
Thank you so, so much for this sweet message! I really needed it today. I'm so happy I can help other BL fans with my lists. (Also, I've appreciated your helpful information when you've caught a show page before I did.) Thank you for taking the time to leave such a nice comment. Happy holidays to you, as well!
Same! I had guessed it'd be at least three, but then it just kept going, and I was like, holy crap! I hope GMMTV sticks with that, giving GL more love in general.
In case people see my list on the side, this show is not BL, or at least it doesn't seem to be. But because they do a BL within the show, I added it to the BL list. Sorry if that caused any confusion.
Wuju Bakery, I believe Jeff said recently that the staff told him not to talk about it, so I think it was canceled.…
Yeah, I saw the clip when it came out, and it's a real bummer. But I'll leave it on here a bit longer. I usually move things to my "potentially canceled" list at the end of the year. I only put things in the canceled list itself if they are explicitly stated as such. I've lost hope for the show, but you never know when things might change. It just sucks because they had finished filming and everything.
We waited almost three years for this show, and it kind of broke my heart. Not because it was sad, but because it wasn't very good. I'm happy for the people who enjoyed it, but I left feeling mostly annoyed. It started strong, but eventually it was just dragging. The stretched out exposition near the end had me spacing out. But honestly, if a certain character had just FINALLY taken responsibility for something, I would have been happier.
But you can tell from looking at the poster that certain individuals have plot armor. Maybe season two will change that, but I don't trust them to do it well. And also, yes, there was queer-baiting. I went in not expecting anything to be m/m, and then they pulled one of those "we're implying something but, surprise, it's not what you think" which was a mistake Nuchy made with Not Me. Why do that when you know who your main audience is? It felt like they took all the money they made from BL fans, created a het show, but made sure to hint so that those wanting BL watched it to the end. Why even put that in there?
Thankfully the show didn't try to shove any unnecessary romance in (SO many zombie shows do this, and it's like, I think we have bigger things to focus on that aren't who Becky is going steady with), but I knew right away that they were trying to string along people who were looking for crumbs.
Anyway, I could say more but this comment is already an essay. I'm not here to fight with anyone, just needed to get that off my chest. If you come to me with a fight, I'll just block you. I wanted to love this show, and the second half of it just let me down. I wish that weren't true, but it could have been so much more than it was, and that makes me really sad.
