Thank you! Actually it's a few things, if that's okay. I know the show might change a lot, but I'm hoping it'll stick with the basics, like a happy ending and a SeanWhite endgame. I was wondering first of all, does Black end up with Gram? I read somewhere that Black is in love with him, but I wasn't sure if it was a thing in the end. Curious because I'd like to see Gun and Mond together in that way, see their dynamic.
Second, is the girlfriend featured heavily in the novel, and is she treated well? Like she doesn't become a romance obstacle, jealous girl, or someone to be used and tossed aside, does she? I get so nervous when I see women in romantic positions in BL, because it can always end with her being horrible just because. Or treated like she's worthless.
I heard there were intimate scenes in the novel, but are there a lot? I saw something that suggested there are sex scenes in the show, which would be new for Off. Not for Gun, but obviously they've never had one together.
Finally, is Black redeemed well in the novel? He seems like such a jerk, which I understand could come from being guarded after living a crappy life, but I wondered if it was satisfying. The fact that he pulled that crap on Sean stings.
I'm getting a ridiculous amount of anxiety over this show. I think I just hinged so much on it, and life is awful for me right now, so it's like my tiny beacon of hope. Anyway, thank you for any clarification you can offer! I thought about reading the novel myself, but I know there isn't an easily-accessed translation at the moment.
Agreed. I hate that I have to rely on others for this info. Too bad Thai is such a difficult language. You can only pick up so much by watching it, but hey, I'm trying.
Yeah, we need a source. I asked for one in the comments, so hopefully someone can provide one. I had read that it was confirmed 16, but it was a translation, so the person could have been making it up. I don't know why they'd say 14 or 16 then make it so much less, and since no one has a clear, confirmed answer, it feels like it's just completely up in the air now.
It says 10 episodes ..but I hope that we gonna get something more tho..like an extra ep
I just posted a comment asking for a source from someone, because it was said to be 14 or 16, then it was confirmed to be 16, then people said it was updated to 10, and now it says 8. I have no idea where people are getting these numbers because I don't speak Thai, so it's hard to reliably navigate accurate info. x_x Hopefully someone can clear it up.
Okay, how many episodes are there gonna be? Like with a source. Can someone provide a link to confirmation? It was stated that the show would be 14 or 16, then confirmed it would be 16, then people said it was updated to 10, and now this page is saying 8. I'm struggling to find any sort of valid source here, so if someone could link me, I would really appreciate it. The second-hand info is very weak, sadly. x_x
Oh no, they changed it? That's a shame. They kept saying 14 or 16. I was kind of looking forward to it being so long. Now I'm a little more nervous about what they showed in the trailer.
holy shit the trailer looks so good. i have very high hopes for this. i need to lower my expectations to not get…
Right? It was so good, their best kiss yet, and I love that Gun initiates it with all of that confidence. I really hope they kept that in the show. In the new trailer, they're back to the timid, tight-lipped kisses initiated by Off.
This looks amazing, but part of me wishes I hadn't seen the original trailer. This feels like a completely different show, and I'm kind of mourning the loss of the first one. I hope the show didn't cut out the good things in the first trailer that don't show up in this one. If I hadn't seen that one, I'd purely be freaking out over how amazing this looks. The action and tension! Please let this show do incredibly well so that we might get more like it in the future. Show the BL industry that this is the content we're looking for, not endless college shows about misunderstandings.
Watched the first episodes. It's definitely a BL with Singto's character being very openly gay. :)
I think they mean whether or not a romance happens. I've read that Singto's character doesn't end up with anyone, but it was secondhand information, so maybe that's not accurate. I really hope he gets a relationship, though. I read Antique Bakery ages ago, but I barely remember it. I feel like the gay character stays single, though. Could be misremembering.
They're growing up and adapting. I mean, even the one at the end of the Not Me trailer was way more mature than…
I'm surprised so many people felt that way! I fully expected a real kiss, just not one that hot. All of the recent Thai BLs have had real kisses, but I guess people were thinking Ohm and Nanon would be too uncomfortable to really kiss because they're such close friends? But yeah, there are so many BL shows now that shows that don't do real kisses can't compete. I feel like high fives and pecks are a thing of the past, or at least I hope.
I’m sorta skeptical since there’s no post from gmmtv however on Saturday’s sundays right now is our skyy…
A healthy dose of skepticism is always good. Better than getting your hopes up. But I'm seeing enough evidence to make me feel fairly confident that it's right, for a number of reasons.
They do this to get more views on BLs and to create hype. I think it won’t happen if two bls are aired at the…
I'm anxiously waiting for the official announcement, but I've seen several places cite an image where the details were listed. It's the official promo for the show. Buuut I can't read Thai, so they could be lying, I guess. I feel like someone would have called them out, though. It would have been stupid of them not to do this, though, and they've been saying it would definitely come out this year. We all knew that Bad Buddy wouldn't be done airing, so I had to assume they'd open up another slot. I just figured since I'm relatively new to BL dramas, everyone insisting there was only one slot just knew more about it than me. I'm glad to see GMMTV adapting.
I have never expected this kind of passionate kiss from GMMTV. OMG!!! I am screaming. They nailed it.
They're growing up and adapting. I mean, even the one at the end of the Not Me trailer was way more mature than previous kisses. Seriously though, someone was saying the other day that we'd obviously get nothing more than a peck because the show is "PG-13," and I was like, yeah right. They have to compete with the BL boom. But I tell ya what, I was not expecting that. Above and beyond.
