TayNew and the older versions of LukeMick works so well... I always struggle when the kid!character is so drastically different from the adult!character, and I can see the similarities...

I saw some posts that make accusations about the author doing some shady shit, but I haven't seen any concrete evidence so far just claims - which I could go around screaming bloody murder and say X did it but would mean nothing if there's no body, or murder weapon. Also a lot of authors make money for their work by putting links for donations and stuff. So to say oh she made money of a NFP site is stupid. Even on AO3 people put their ko-fi links. I've even seen patreons where people release chapters early for their patreon members.

I also want to know. Because the reasoning of "it used to be fanfiction and uses the likesness of a real person" is a bizare reason for this show to be cancelled. Because every writer has the way a character looks in their imagination, and many times that imagined character can look like real person, sometimes even a celebrity. Fanfiction is still fiction - if the characters are "based" on real people -- the story is still fictional, the characters are also still fictional because the real person may not be anything like the character IRL because the author does not know that person. It is wholly a work of fiction. If the author had originally written the story using different names, it would not have had any blow back. But somehow her having written it as fanfiction first makes it problematic? Make it make sense.

Fifty Shades of Grey was originally Twilight fanfiction, The Love Hypothesis by Ali Hazelwood was Star Wars Fanfiction, The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare was Harry Potter fanfiction, and After by Anna Todd was One Direction fanfiction - which FYI are also real people. I also know of a number of MM Authors whose works were originally fanfiction. It is not uncommon for people to change names, settings, and identifying traits before commercial publication/production of the work. So I don't understand why this got such heavy backlash.

The reason I have been told so far has not made sense to me. Because unless the person this was based is actually anything like the characters AND known to the author, it is all fantasy and fiction and the only thing she really used was his name.

Also, indoctrination doesn't start with misogyny and anti-feminism, it happens very very slowly and gradually. I know because at one point I was deep in the manosphere algorithm and I couldn't understand how I go there. And the saddest part was that a lot of what they were saying made sense to me. For context, I am a queer female who is very much a feminist. But it wasn't until I realized I was in that space, I was able to get out. Also, none of that content was outright hateful, it was super super subtle.

There were a few moments in Ep 1 and Ep 2 where the things they were doing/saying was a little sketch and misogynistic. Especially with talking to girls.

Why does this group feel so manosphere coded. Am I the only one getting that vibe? Since the time they decided to form this male only student group.

Does anyone have any idea what is going on in this show? I really like Kim Seong Hyuk in his other series. But what in the world is going on here? The direction is so bad. Script is so bad. The acting is so bad. The kisses are so bad. The bad guys are so caricaturist. I mean... so are the good guys. Where is the plot? Because I sure feel like I've lost it trying to watch this week after week!

Saaame! But I don't know if he's Nekros or if the show is pulling a bait and switch. Maybe he's going to be a victim further down the line for corrupt reporting or something. Media has power - maybe he's absuing his?

But he does to be involved somehow. Because, why is a news anchor/ owner of the broadcast network going out to what seems to be a field report? Also why is everyone from his company there including the interns 🤣🤣...

I think we need to cut Tee some slack. This is first main role. And to be honest, he's not bad at all. He's just surrounded by some really incredible actors who have had a lot of experience. Sure, Neo hasn't had many main roles either, but the supporting roles he's had have been way meatier than the roles tee has played, and he has almost 10 years of experience. Tee has only had bit parts in all of the other shows he's done over the 3 years his career has spanned. Dew is fantastic no doubt, but he has a lot more experience under his belt.

Not all acting needs to be emotional outbursts and overt expressiveness. And while I am not saying the direction is bad, because it isn't, but sometimes even great actors have given bad performances because of bad direction. But one never knows what is happening behind the scenes and what the direction being given to him is. TBH the little I've seen of Tee outside of his acting roles, seems to be very similar to what he's playing, and it takes a talent to be able to find a character within yourself and play them naturally as if they are an extension of you.

Only time will tell if he's good, but we need to give him time to grow. Not every one is a naturally talented actor who can be thrown into a sea storm and be expected to be able to find their way back, but talent can be honed and nurtured we need to give him time.

Why does he seem so familiar? .... I mean he does kind of remind me of Winny Thanawin Pholcharoenrat but that's not it. I feel like I've seen him in a drama before, maybe as support cast. Can't remember.

The show is not AI generated though... there are parts of the intro that are. It is easy to skip that and not be so put off by it.

The OST has me hooookeeddd!! I am dead. I just started this series and I have that song stuck on repeat in my head.

I came here feeling the exact same way. I feel like the whole show so far didn't need the 7 episodes it has aired over. It could all have happened in 1 episode. The one episode with the multiple cameos from other pairings was the most interesting part of the show so far.

I will say, though, that I am not a huge fan of either of the leads. I don't dislike them, but out of all the DMD pairings I find them to be the weakest in terms of acting and chemistry - they are very pretty though...

Usually I quite like p'Am's acting, but he is so bad in this one! Such a caricature-ish villain.

And the product placement is so OTT it is quite off-putting.

Is it just me or do pearl and peak seem to have less chemistry than they did in their previous show? Somehow I am having a really hard time believing they are in love. 😅

This is a spin-off of 2016's Addicted which was canceled before the entire show aired due to CN censorship. The same actors played these characters in that show but in 'addicted' they were the 2nd couple or rather, they were friends of the main pairing with hints of deeper feelings but nothing concrete.
