I really think there's a time jump especially with what the Japanese teacher said and all the hints there were about him wanting to go research. See it wont be horrific after a time jump cuz their age gap isn't ridiculous OUTSIDE of context. I'm not sure though if that's the route they're even taking. This drama is just funny as hell

And yes youre so right about the acting. I love the way he portrays this character, it's so natural. It like you're actually watching a person rather than someone repeating words written on a page. He also has so many expressions, it refreshing because a lot of actors not just in Kdrama but in general are so focused on serving for the camera that they give little to no depth to their characters by refusing to lean into various expressions or mannerisms. I appreciate too how they wrote the character because the way he acts is also consistent with his personal backstory... he's the youngest brother of a three older sisters and you see how headstrong they are so its inevitable he's the same in that sense.
aw I find his character to be earnest and loving...he's also able to read between the lines so he doesn't do that typical ML thing where they misunderstand and step back...he's like actively trying to see her and her reasons

Okay, these two episodes felt a little drab compared to the others, but I guess they’re meant to build up to the turning point. The highlight for me was that "Pythagoras and his student" scene. She’s being a bit clingy now, but I get it since it’s her first real crush. When you like someone, all you want to do is be near them. I also think there's pretty obvious hints at a time jump here, but again, this drama is so unpredictable that who knows.
Although these episodes were a little less exciting, I did like how the two characters are starting to let each other in more. They’re actually asking questions back and forth, leading to genuine conversation instead of just “write me an essay” and the usual whining. I do think his character has been showing more of his personality with little things like him waiting, which is NOT a romantic gesture don't get it twisted, I just think it shows that he's not that rigid.
I don't think he sees her in a romantic way AT ALL btw which is great. I really hope the preview is just baiting us and she doesn't confess because girl what are you thinking???? your teacher is gonna be like "YES I love you too lets get married! 😍" He's also given her NO reason to think the feelings mutual, he stays being an a**hole most of the time.

I think him wanting to marry her immediately is so funny, especially because they keep mentioning him to be Gen-z. I don't know most of us have commitment issues so good for him.

He found her writing BL about him and his other teacher friends, and he requested to be main lead or THE "obsessive top" lmao. Idk nothing about that screams "appropriate" to me, so I think we can just watch this as a piece of entertaining fiction.

I'm just saying the title is "absolute value of romance", the tag is romance, and his line at the end of episode 8 was hella poetic for no reason. I have no clue where this show will end up, but if there is a time jump don't be too surprised ...
Though I REALLY doubt they're going to have them end up together...they just might be besties in the end. Will I be just slightly disappointed if they're JUST friends...I better not be, this show has me questioning my moral compass
