Tbh I didn't finish the show, so I'm not the best judge. But we won't know how much the edits affected the story, I did remember it being quite lacklustre/jumbled and YAI's acting in his remaining scenes was good as usual. Overall it was probably poor writing that was the biggest flaw

It's a new writer Chu Songyeon, the script won an award at JTBC's script contest in 2022 which got her a deal for it to be adapted into a drama.

I am enjoying how unconventional and heartfelt this drama is, but also not a huge fan of the recent addition of the ML's messy ex. Also, it never really processed for me that two years had passed since ep 1.

So far this seems a little overdramatic for my taste, and the comedic moments felt out of place.

I was completely mindblown when I realized the ML here played one of the baddies in My Name 🤯

The greatest parts of the drama were the action scenes. They nailed the edginess with pumpy music and great choreography, the fight scenes were so satisfying to watch. Plot wise, it was quite predictable and the ending was pretty messy. However, it was still entertaining for the most part with a standout performance from Park Heesoon. 8/10

Goodness, that sounds scary. I heard that it is tricky to completely recover hearing loss especially if it is treated too late. Hope he recovers and gets enough rest.

Yeah I noticed that as well. The whole sequence of events seemed identical except for the victim being pregnant. It felt kinda odd since iirc, the plot of the movie was dramatized and based on multiple real-life cases, not a single case.
Also, on your mention of the writer/creator, the director-screenwriter of that movie unfortunately passed away this year due to illness.
