She is honestly very frustrating. I think the ML would be a lot more courageous if Ju Ah weren’t so all over…
Eunbin said something similar in today’s episode xD
I think they’re both wary of the situation between their families, especially since they’re the eldest child in their respective families. But I’m not sure if it’s the FL’s acting or just how her character is written, either way, I find myself disliking her actions more than the ML’s for some reason. And honestly, I don’t think gender really matters here, either of them could take the lead. If the ML were too aggressive with his actions, though, he might come across as pushy and overbearing, which would probably end up hurting the FL’s feelings.
very well said and also in a very kind way !!so the grandma , mom at that time , was kicked out from her husband…
I was also reminded of what the ML said in a previous episode, that he knew his mother wasn’t the only one to blame for abandoning them, and that he only blamed her because it was easier to blame the one who left. I’m glad he’s breaking that pattern in the way he handles things now. I thought this was an interesting contrast between the ML and his dad and grandpa. The ML takes the time to think things through, while the dad and grandpa tend to stay focused on resentment and a victim mentality, which makes it difficult for them to move on. It was especially evident when Dong Ik said he supports and understands why his father’s first reaction was to hit his mother, even after all these years. I’m pretty sure the grandma and grandpa reveal is probably going to be even harsher on the families than the past 30 years. (This ep sure is making me write paragraphs xD )

I think ML can be a bit too selfless at times, and he may hesitate to take risks if FL isn’t fully committed, and he probably wants to protect the peace between the two families, esp seeing how most of them are not the sharpest tools in the shed xD

Yeah, they definitely overreacted. No woman having an affair would show up that disheveled, especially with visible injuries. If they were suspicious, they should’ve just confronted their wives directly. Dong Ik was clearly relieved when Seri explained the travel agency and lawyer situation, it turned out nothing like he had imagined. I also hope they catch the man responsible for attacking the grandma and she gets some sort of closure. I’m also curious about the kidnapper woman, does she hold a grudge against them, or is she just jealous of how well the two families got along?
35 ep and jua can not stop lying .... since the beginning ..... to her family and to the person she loves .....
She is honestly very frustrating. I think the ML would be a lot more courageous if Ju Ah weren’t so all over the place and didn’t constantly resort to ending the relationship. The current breakup is understandable given her mom’s health, but she would also bail even when things weren’t this serious, I esp hated the whole pretend boyfriend plot with her friend, that was so stupid... I hope she stays strong and takes the initiative this time.

Aw thanks :)
Exactly! I honestly can't see the grandpa in a positive light after this episode. I feel so bad for his wife, especially considering how her life ended up being. It is also really unfair to Dongsook, who clearly missed her mom but couldn't do much since both her dad and brother were adamant about blaming everything on the grandma. At this point, the only way grandpa gets redemption is time travel, like you said xD Also wonder how bad the grandpa reveal is gonna be...
Looks like both Dong Ik and his dad have some serious trust issues. It was pretty obvious that the ML's grandma had gone through some kind of assault based on the state of her clothes, but he didn't even bother listening to her side of the story and immediately freaked out on her. In the same way, Dong Ik took things way too far by hiring a detective. At this point, I'm starting to wonder if Dong Ik's first wife actually left him because of a misunderstanding rather than an affair. I really hate how quickly these characters jump to conclusions.
This drama has been pretty lighthearted so far, but today's episode was a little disturbing. I honestly can't get over the fact that paranoia and trust issues ended up starting a feud that lasted for 30 years. What makes it even more frustrating is that the misunderstanding didn't just ruin both families' lives,it completely destroyed the lives of the missing grandma and grandpa too.FL's grandma's reaction was so real: "How do I face a woman whom I blamed everything on, when she is innocent?"
I'm hoping everything gets sorted out soon, but I honestly don't know if their situation is better or worse now that everything's been revealed. They caused each other so much pain all because of a misunderstanding.
Oof, that was my rant. And in case anyone gets triggered, this is just a reaction to this ep. I still enjoy watching the drama, just frustrated cause I love the characters, and it sucks that they have to go through this esp since both the families seem to like each other.
I think Junho will try to break apart Jangmi and Junho using this as an excuse and we will see more tears and agony for a while cause of the breakup xDD the 20 ep extension was made in order for the writers to dump all their ideas into this drama instead of the waste basket xD
Do the writers hate Baekho?? It feels so unfair to him if they make Hwayeong his mother. Like , “oh, I finally found my birth mom”… but EWWW, it’s Hwayeong??? First he has to deal with learning he was adopted, and then they crush him a second time by revealing that she’s his bio mom. That’s honestly so mean and unfair to him, imo. I'd rather have a maggot for a mom than Hwayeong xD
YES!! omg when he said he was allergic! I think you are 100 percent spot on with that!!
If it ends up being Manager Lee then maybe the weird sub plot with Yeong Ja and him is a hint that they will bond over her being the adoptive mom and him being bio dad and end up together? I also cannot wait for Junho to find out xD

I do wonder why Baekho was left with an item bearing Chairman Ma’s crest. I have a wild theory that Hwa Yeong's family or Baekho’s father were the original owners of the Dream Group, and Chairman Ma somehow stole it from them or took it over xDDD
Someone should force feed him coal

He was so supportive of his mom and it was so sweet how he even reassured the uncle this ep

Maybe Junho is not her son and we can finally see that smug look wiped from his face xD
No bonsai for you Junho boi
