That was such a fun ride and I'm gonna miss my hot, toxic ship. The drama was so good and I enjoyed every minute of it with all the ups and downs. Jing Boran and Sun Qian were amazing, the plot very interesting (like finally a mature and realistic romance) and even though I still think it needed more episodes I'm very satisfied with the last episodes. I also loved the comment section here and all the discourse.
Yes, I do think both characters are flawed. Neither Flora nor Luan Nian is perfect, and honestly, neither of them…
I agree that in the novel there is a more clear line of the characters but I don't think show Luan Nian is a green flag. Yes, maybe the character is more softer than in the novel but the toxic traits are still there like the constant insults or the belittlement everytime he gets angry. But I also agree that both have flaws and that's why the drama is interesting.
I get what you mean but it's not like he is any better. When has HE ever gave her emotional security and reassurance when the minute she does something he doesn't like he ignores her and insults her. Also he immediately accused her of cheating because of a hug. He doesn't communicate either instead he just shuts down and expects her to understand. That's his pattern
Say it louder for the people in the back! It's baffling how some people still find a way to blame Flora when clearly…
I can't believe I'm reading comments of how she should just set boundaries with her friends because he's jealous. Like what? Since when a simple hug with your best friend is so bad?! If he's jealous or insecure then that's a problem HE has to solve, he needs to start trusting her. She has told him many times that SYZ is a close friend but he goes back to the usual: getting angry, then ignoring her and then insulting her.
''Should we just avoid any interactions with the other gender because we are together?'' Yes, get him girl!! Like he's so unreasonable with his jealousy and it's really laughable that it seems that he doesn't trust her (mind you they are together for six years) when SHE has more reasons not to trust him. By his logic she should just stop having male friends or in general interact with men because he is going to be jealous.
Flora is a red flag, and itβs not because she canβt communicate. Itβs because of her behavior, especially…
I'm sorry but I had to laugh at the Luke has tolerated this shit from Flora. What about all the shit Flora has tolerated from Luke?! She has put up with all his toxic traits like how he belittles her everytime and you're all making her the bad guy here. I'm not saying she's perfect and i really think that both have issues but you all need to stop babying a grown ass man and praising him for doing the bare minimum while blaming the woman.
I can't believe that the drama is ending tomorrow. I have been so obsessed with this in the past two weeks and it feels bittersweet to let it go. My only complaint is that it needed more episodes. Now we're gonna see the break up and the reconciliation in only four episodes.
There have been other dramas with a ton of fun discourse, like Our Generation, Shine on Me, Love Between Lines,…
Yes, I agree. The drama has made the discourse really interesting. Like I love reading different opinions and discussions regarding their relationship. The best thing: the section is not toxic and everyone is polite discussing only the drama without fights. I guess that's the result of watching a mature romance drama.
Everyone eagerly waiting for their break up is so funny. I love this comment section. Like this is the first time that such thing is happening ππ
He's so stupid and insensitive like instead of comforting her after what she went through he was all about me me me and no i don't care that he got mad or hurt that she didn't tell him. His reaction and his comments were so harsh. At this point the break up is the only thing that does make sense cause that 'relationship' they have it's not working anymore.
Wow they really kept the whole sexual harassment plot. I thought they wouldn't give much attention but I'm glad I was wrong because in the novel it's a very big thing and of course in general a very important issue. I think so far they have done a pretty good job of adapting the novel. Let's see how they will handle the break up/reconciliation plot.
