The mc has 'life threatening' condition that has no cure and hurts a lot, so needs some magical super rare pain medication which only one doctor has, apparently with literally no other way to procure them. These are extremely rare meds which you cant get in any way. By the way, the way mc uses the meds is by literally doing heroin with the meds.
These magical meds are then taken from the doctor by the mc's rival so he could blackmail mc with them . And now suddenly theres an unlimited supply of these meds for being used as props, smashing them, dripping them on the receiver on a phone so that mc could hear his precious pain meds dripping. Mc's rival, his boss and everyone and their mother is now messing around with his meds. The meds show up in every scene as props, its insane that this is the same meds being used a couple episodes ago as some kind of divine nectar that can be used super easily to blackmail the mc. This show is nuts lol.
FL is super sad and needs therapy. This person has 0 confidence, and is pretty much depressed, and the way they just chose to completely doormat for the ex, and how they got shoved into a project they dont desire, this person also has 0 agency in her personal as well as professional life. Like picking the 'right' dude isn't going to fix the deep-seated issues in her life, she will remain miserable.

The bigger issue is the identity of the killer than the annoying FL. For a show with 18 episodes, we have already seen the killer get away from insane situations. Like they seem to do whatever the fuck they want, and even after altercations with the ML, we have literally no idea who the killer is. I am already annoyed at how much plot powers the killer seems to have, like they can just show up in person, kill someone do a whole ritual thing, and just get away with everything while keeping their identity hidden, be able to mind control some dude over and over again, then also have the ability to dictate how the law works. The prospect of this shit going on for 18 episodes really sucks and pretty much ruins this show.
They allow guests and their entourage to enter. But they don't allow resident mages to have personal servants,…
them rules exist more to create melodrama and than any real world building reason the people subject to them rules is at the hand of the author rather than any real logic in the world, why i called writing trash

Female lead would be more fun to watch if she could act. Like her face is like this plastic mask that spews words, she can't make any facial expressions.
Drama is great otherwise, all characters are generally lovable, feel like it would have been way more fun with almost anyone else as female lead.

This is just suffering porn, I don't enjoy just suffering porn. Its just all over the place and the mc just gets fucked every 5 min, can't really fight or scheme. Occasionally they'll let the mc win some gambling match to make it seem like he's somehow 'competent'.
Its been great but the villain being a 2000 year old creepy stalker was lame. Dude could have been someone truly horrible, like a really evil tyrant but being a jealous stalker of the female character made me think of him as a joke.
