WORST DRAMA OF 2024
So this drama started with bad acting and a bad storyline. Soon I got over it and started to expect something from this drama but as usual, this drama didn't improve but only went down the drain. Every character is unlikable but in a bad way. It's not like they're antagonists but they're lifeless without any soul. 2 kids planning on taking down an empire, clingy annoying rich girl, and a female lead with no personality. It's just Lee jae wook that made me watch this drama, and now i'm disappointed. I can stare at a wall for 1 hour rather than watching this abomination. Was this review helpful to you?
Great but destined to not be a Masterpiece
The drama was great in the initial episodes, but soon it lost touch. There are some good life lessons to learn. And the pacing is good, but not the best. Su Min and Min Hwan stole the limelight. Even though they were antagonists, there presence was better than that of male leads. Male lead chemistry, I feel, is kind of off at the beginning, but soon it becomes good.I think they were not able to portray the year 2013. It's 10 years ago, but for that timeline, all they did is change mobile phones to old Samsung phones while everything was still the same. I think they would have created a good nostalgic theme, but that was not the intention. Still, that thing had potential. I am happy with this drama but it's not much memorable and I rate it 8/10 overall.

The revenge plot was kind of farfetched, but still, the pacing was good for me, and anyone who wants to see rom-coms in corporate world can give this drama a chance.

Wow, All 16 episodes were a journey. I was rooting for Dong Eun to get her revenge, and it happened. The Bullying was actually unrealistic, as many bullies are often stressed by their families and use weak people to vent their anger, but the Bullies are just awfully rich and sadists for no apparent reason. That was the thing that never went well with me during this drama.Acting was so good by everybody. They nailed their roles, and that's what I like about recent K dramas—everyone is an Oscar-worthy actor.
Kudos for how well the Drama went. Also, call me crazy, but Jae Joon doesn't deserve the ending he got. He was crazy and violent, but I think Prison would've been better for him than death. Also, going to Yeo Jeong for autopsy details was crazy. How idiotic is he?
But nonetheless, I really liked it. For crime thrillers, I prefer Realistic dramas, but this one was at least enjoyable and kept you on the edge of your seat till you finished it. 9.5 ratings from me!

Different Story from Manga but awful Lead
As usual, Live Action has a different story, but this different storyline is not that crisp. Tatsuya's actor was atrocious in the beginning! I don't know if it's a Japanese thing to act like that, but they were awful. It's funny in manga and anime, but those expressions won't fit well with real-life actors. The Gang members were also styled in uniforms, which Kilihito doesn't have in the manga, but they added them for some reason. The good part was that they added more screen time for Uncle and Aunty, they're quite wholesome. Also, Kazumasa Big Bro was cast perfectly. That guy nailed the role at 99% and minus 1 percent for sass. The extra fighting didn't make much sense as they were not logically thinking, I think Out manga is way better, and the characters actually behaved in more rational manner rather than 6 guys taking on 50 guys, which is atrocious.
I think the movie is solid 7, with some good scenes, but as a manga reader, you'll be disappointed.

Mind Blowing Thriller
A Shop for Killers is fantastic. I watched it and regretted why I hadn't watched it before. The action in this manga is truly epic and mind boggling. I hope they make a second season because I just can't wait to see what will happen next, This show is extremely thrilling and will make you want more. It kept me on the edge of my seat for the whole day. In some Korean dramas, even getting a gun is a pain in the ass. But in this drama, a pistol is the most basic weapon, while we have mercenaries with machine guns, attacking drones, and whatnot. The negatives of this show are probably some far-fetched plot holes and pacing. Because I think some people don't watch it in one go and might forget the details with flashbacks going on and off simultaneously. But otherwise, the drama is French's kiss, with great actors and superb direction. I'm in love with characters like Minhye, Bale, and Pasin.

Cherish the ONE life you got
Damn, this drama was so good. It held me on the edge of my seat constantly, and it delivered. The ending was just a chef's kiss. Everyone should give it a watch and understand how much their absence will affect others. The acting was great, and so many actors made it a masterpiece. As Ah in Jeong said, every good story has a lot of twists, and so does Death Game. 8 episodes, and every episode is a masterpiece in itself. I am probably praising it a lot because of recency bias but I recommend this to every human. Just stay quiet and watch this masterpiece without any second thought. Was this review helpful to you?

Disaster
So the couple went to a nearby island because, for some reason, the ML was suffering from erectile dysfunction, and a doctor recommended that they go to an inn, where the man gets seduced by a hooker and then feels all excited that his ED will be cured, but as usual, things go south, and now the owner of the inn turned serial killer wants to kill them. Awful low-budget American thriller story with bad acting and an awful storyline. I watched it for Dong Lee but felt disappointed. Infedility, rape, and murder—they're just happening without any reason, which is weird.I don't recommend it to anyone because it will only leave bad after taste and nothing else.

Full Action Packed Gangsta Film
Why is the villain scary? Because he stays calm. There are very few instances where Jang Chen lost his cool, but the truth is that he collected that anger and exerted that anger while killing his foes. The film feels even better when we get to know it's a real life story about the gangs back in 2002–03 and how police somehow arrested these vicious MFs. The world building was good and Villain came with nothing but a desire to expand as quickly as possible.
The film's climax was good, action keeps getting better and the final battle just keep you on the edge of the seats.

Not for Square People
First of all, the plot twist was crazy. I really loved it. The acting was great, and the cast performed very well. Kim Tae Ri looked so pretty, and the film looked pretty realistic and raw, and that's something I absolutely loved. Everything was good except the erotica. I just jumped out of my seat when I first watched it, plus it weirded me out. I don't know why they added so much intensity to this film; it just looked extra. Not even needed.Probably added more scenes of Count about how good of a conman he is, Kim Tae Ri's past, or the Uncle's past, but nah, Lesbian Love was added. I am just not comfortable watching that kind of thing on screen.
The Handmaiden is a cinematic movie, probably a blockbuster movie if launched today, but not my cup of tea. The fetish and erotica are probably for coomers, not for normal people who watch movies for plot, characters, story, and acting.

It deserves to be an Underrated Drama!
I finally finished this drama, and now I understand why it is underrated. What makes a Korean drama different is its direction, beauty, aesthetics, and acting. But TKOP lacks three out of four things.1) Direction: I think the direction was poor in comparison to others. It's still good, but the Koreans raised the bar so high that mediocre direction comes under poor direction.
2) Beauty: There's not much beauty in the drama, nor is any rich lifestyle glorified. Also, I'm going to be controversial here, but the actors were pretty pale by beauty standards. The guys were ok-looking, average-height guys with no style, which is great; it looks realistic, but it's a k-drama; you have to add eye candy. It's a must.
3) Aesthetics: Korean vibrant colours were missing. Colour schemes were not black or white. But Grey and Muddy are constantly. Pretty dull as it should be considering MC is depressed and schizophrenic, but still, it's one of the subtle reasons people don't watch this drama or put it on hold.
4) Acting: Acting was great. They did a great job. It doesn't feel like acting was bad or acting was good. The guys were so immersed in their characters that it felt like they were them. The female cop was dull, not gonna lie. Even the kids were incredible.
Apart from that, this was a good drama, and I rate it an 8.5 overall because of it's story and concept.

This can Destroy a Man's Life
The ending sure turned out to be unexpected. While the Police Chief retired happily and the prosecutor was Promoted, they really didn't give two fucks about Hyun Soo's life. In cases like Murder and Rape, a perpetrator was necessary; that was their reasoning. The Ego of the police chief was to headspread towards Hyun Soo only and justify his gut feeling while the prosecutor attempted to break Hyun Soo mentally, and still, at the end, they were the ones reaping the rewards. Even Hyun Soo's family is starting to think he killed her. His friend who helped him died in his arms, and his lawyer did the work of the police. Now Hyun Soo will never be the same. Will anyone be able to trust him again? He practically lost the upcoming opportunities of his life due to this case. While everyone only used him as a stepping stone. As the Lion of the Prison once said, Poor people never get Justice in Korea, which is true as Korea is highly capitalistic country.

Female Teacher/Male Student Relationship
So this Show is something that is below average, but there are some things, which are not the story or acting, that will make you think or comprehend that it's an above average show. The Good thing is that the music is good, and the Opening theme is one of the best I've ever heard. Kang Ta's acting is good, but the actress was horrible. The role itself was bland, and no good acting only made it worse. All four characters were drunkard loveheads who'd love the other person without taking into account their flaws. The show was horrible after Episode 3, so give it a watch if you can handle angst, cringe, and determined loveholics. One proper communication, and the show would've ended at episode 5 at most. Was this review helpful to you?
Relatable K Dramas
I watched this back in 2021 Quarantine just because of Park Seo Joon, but later became a die-hard fan of Kim Ji-Won. The drama really showed the future of how the class nerd will treat you if you don't succeed. That's not the main theme, but I really liked that. The acting was excellent. I didn't find anyone lacking in Four Friends.I think these are the dramas that have the potential for the second season, but let's end it that way. A great Rom-Com, and Kim Ji Won really nailed her part.

Watch this if you Like Chase!
The Story was kind of basic. But the action was good. This is the type of movie where you don't need to constantly glare at the screen; you just have to pay attention, and you can watch it while having your meal. I think they should've cast young actors for the lead roles of Hwang and Lee. But both of them are the key to attracting audiences, so I cannot blame them. The ending was good, and I felt satisfied by all means. Watch this if you like "No Country for Old Men," but the Korean version was shot in Thailand. Was this review helpful to you?
