from the title, screenwriter, actors to director, I have high expectations. My Mister is my fav drama of all time, I hope this is another realistic yet healing drama 🤞🏼
although upsetting, I understand why the drama was fully dedicated to showing the harsh reality of trauma on victims. as a survivor, I felt such catharsis when LJY killed the perpetrators but was confused why they included the innocent child. I realize it’s showing the downward spiral of a deeply traumatized person who had his own demons and the guilt of blaming himself for what happened. with the open ending suggesting she died by suicide, I thought no you have to show you can survive and keep going, but then I realized this is the actual reality for many victims. it showed the extreme effects of sexual violence and rape, which is not taken serious enough bc unlike murder, you live with the trauma for all your life, dying over and over again. it also serves as a warning against any victim blaming and shaming. I hope in another life, they can be reborn and start anew like butterflies
I cried my eyes out every episode. This drama is needed and they don’t take the easy way out. Showing the reality of how a victim has to fight to even speak her truth against family, peers, colleagues, society, the justice system and stigma. It’s terrible but that’s truly what survivors face in this messed up world. Even if it’s a hard road, I hope she doesn’t give up. Her husband is also an amazing person, but quite rare to find irl.
the setup and acting is so delicious I love my insane couple. the female lead isn’t a fake strong general who suddenly turns weak and stupid, she gets her lick back and still serves her best interest. the director, li qin and chen zheyuan rly upped their skills
what a delicious drama. no miscommunication and no annoying or holier than thou leads. I love the humor and romance, great buildup when needed and if it doesn’t crash the writing, this may be my fav drama in a long time!
very gripping and so far it’s still unfair for Li Mufeng bc the prosecutor only considers his own case and the abused wife as justified defense. he needs to apply the same logic of if his life is in danger from an old man or if 7 stabs is excessive force. they are all varying levels of self defense. LMF life was destroyed for trying to do the right thing and help someone
I love the details in this that highlight important issues in society. The misogyny of favoring boys over girls, victim blaming and shaming, school bullying, complex relationships with parents who don’t communicate, and rumor mongering. There have been a lot of twists so far and it’s still halfway so I’m wondering if there’s more to the story of who caused her death. While some parts frustrate me, it makes the story more real bc humans are complicated and messy, especially kids in high school shouldering the weight of burdens the adults refused to carry properly.
as a tibetan, seeing lusi wear a chuba, dance gorshey and watch the popo make tsampa in this healing show is so personal. hope we’re all able to gain small courage and enjoy the small happiness in daily life, and do our best in taking care of our mental and physical health
crying bc I can relate to WYF and wish I had someone like SY with his unconditional love when I was going through it. the delicate balance of angst and comedy is done well so far and acting is great
wait can someone explain how duanwu fell in love and is so proactive with yzj? why did she stay on the ship even…
even tho jingran can be too straight edge, he’s the one who bought her out of slavery and helped her unconditionally. it’s a shame but I do like the leads together more. just need some more convincing
tingyan is me all I wanna do is eat and sleep
