i completed the series a few hours ago lmao. from like episode 9 i was all tantawanXchalarn. yes i read the comments, a lot of ppl saying the ending is unclear. the ending looked pretty fucking clear to me.
yes tanta loves peng more than chalarn, even during the ending of the last episode, but her love for peng is slowly fading away as well. i mentioned in the next comment that her magic is her metaphor portraying her desires before herself. when she closed her eyes beside her brother at the starry sky, she of course thought of peng and it was peng who indeed came. most ppl thought that to be the important moment. but the most important moment was after that, when they were sweet conversing in the bed. when she asked peng for the next night to hang out with her or dine( i dont exactly remember what) his reply was " i have shifts". and her expression said the very thing," ah shit here we go again" she was sick of this, " love and compatibility are not the same thing," even though very supernatural based, if the super power is considered her metaphor, the ending was very realistic. she clearly loved chalarn,. and peng too. peng more. but with peng she was suffocating slowly. and chalarn? like another comment said, he was everything tanta wanted peng to be. no one knows if chalarn isn't gonna turn out just as peng later on, but for now, we live this very minute, and in this very minute, she felt extremely happy with chalarn
" i bore what i could, i accepted what i can, that's why we lasted 15 years" girl, a clap doesn't make sound well with just one hand's force. that one hand will eventually get tired. Actually even though i kinda shipped pengXtantawan more than tantawanXchalarn, im glad she ended up with chalarn. of course no one can confirm whether in another 15 years chalarn wouldn't turn out like peng. but the relationship with peng was becoming toxic
god chalan's actor is outstanding. to make a ' man of a society ' cry like that, and not make it look hilarious . outstanding acting man. DAMN

yes i get your point. but my perspective had got to do nothing with complexity. i mean, the scenario i mentioned regarding win, would only be more accurate if the guy is more open to his feelings , less complex, more jolly and happy.
if i make a short summary, i dunno how much win is showing his true personality in the interviews but the character he portrays, is exactly like that of a boy i dated once. first you start the relation as a joke. ( not a fake relationship. but not too deep in. more of like, "woah you're single? me too ! let's date).
then you try to keep it less serious. always joking about how you both are dating for fun and would never get serious. but then after a point of time you both get serious without having any official statement regarding it ( ps communication about everything in a relationship is very necessary). then you unnecessarily start getting jealous over everything, and annoyed. have unnecessary fights. and go through your first break up. its nasty. nasty as hell. way worse and ignorant than what's written in romantic novels. then out of rage, rainbow of emotions you patch up rightway ( maybe fucking up some other people in the process) this time the relationship may have absolute mutual love. but it will lack trust. then break up again, then patch up etc cycle going on. don't wanna make this para even more longer than it already is.

its a happy ending yet sad ending. i mean yeah the couple they stay together forever. until one of them dies. yes one of them die, but at the age of 69. the other man, still his heart to his late lover lives another 13 years and then passes away. as the last one dies, you can see their young souls reuniting
actually it kinda made me happy. first off if the author was really disgusted by bl she would have never agreed on it. she just didn't know much. and secondly, in great stories, bl portion is removed just so it can be made a bl. when a reverse happens i just smile. japan is indeed a great and unique country
