can anyone explain... what does the term "heroic husband" mean in Chinese? I am lost in translation.
idk why "heroic husband" is the translation lol, like in 2021 with the drama "my heroic husband" when the chinese title is "zhui xu" in chinese "zhui xu" is a "son-in-law living at wife's parent's house" (and it's normally deemed humiliating for the son-in-law because he's essentially married into her family where as it's normally a bride marries into the husband's family). we don't have such a thing in english so probably why they made something up but it's nowhere near to what it should be translated to lol.
ok, I am not digging on the female lead's character here and why they made the character so desperate on the guy?…
isn't she just trying to seduce him since after the green house incident just to get back at him? she's not in love or desperate. although girl played with fire and it's starting to burn her cuz she got the feels now lol.
When it came to romance i love more matured themes -my all time fav romance cdrama is You Are My Glory- so i wanted…
it's high self esteem because she knows she's not an "idiot" lol. home girl has a PhD, and in recent eps he knows too (he probably knows long before, I doubt he was oblivious to her existence when they were same age in college)
but yea I've been watching this with vietsub since they are up to date with the very latest eps and in her internal dialogues she refers to him as "guy who puts on air" so I think she understands his cocky/stand offish personality and just doesn't take it too seriously
it's all back and forth banter though. I'm finding the show pretty funny
just popping over here to look since I'm watching fox volant and xing fei is in this too.
guess I'll wait another week for it to finish before deciding to watch since these comments below are making it seem like the plot is kinda mid and folks are just hanging on for dear life because of the actors?
Rewatching this on Netflix and wow (Esther Yu voice) watching it on the big screen just magnifies the experience…
I couldn't stand watching it on netflix after a few seconds in, lol idk if it's the same for anyone else but the subtitle is right in the middle of the border line of the bottom black bar and the video. so I've been bootleg bingeing it straight the last couple of days, currently on ep 30.
I really love it so far! Bit surprised that Chunhua and some other characters from the beginning of the show seem…
I think the old lady suicided in the fire after stabbing Ma dude. I mean his student was literally right there and crawling around on the ground like it was some inferno preventing him from doing anything lmao.
Chunhua such a hoe lol gave it up on first date smh
On ep. 37 now and rather grated by ML's actions. He really sets a new standard for psychopathic behaviour, having…
They weren’t killed just to punish her or send a message, can’t remember exactly but the gong gong verbalized the emperor’s edict which stated their crimes when she discovered them dead. Their crime was being a negative influence on her as “advisors” since she’s such a bad person. Secondly, their existence and relationships with her brings negative rumor for her and the royal family.
But yea, emperor ordered it so it’s not without a “just” cause according to the laws of their time.
I thoroughly enjoyed both seasons. Thank you to the show for not killing any familiar “good guy” character during the last climatic battle. That is always an instant -2points for me lol and completely ruins a possibly superb show.
Can any pls tell me why in Episode 33 When LBY brought CSS to meet his ‘mother’ first time! He used the word…
Are y’all watching without subs or just not paying attention to their convo? His “mom” is looney(real/fake idk lol) and thinks he’s some poor kid coming to her brothers house for food etc (she’s a 16year old young lady of the house when she’s talking to him in this manner). He’s going along with her mental state, pretty sure he doesn’t know his real identity at this point. He doesn’t call her mom because that will F with her mental state, she’ll be like why tf are you calling me mom and have an episode
I finished the novel a couple weeks ago but I'm going to have to wait for this to finish airing so I can binge it. Don't think I can handle waiting for new eps weekly lol. wish me luck bros.
lmao I started this because of Sun Ya Li (jingjing's assistant) but wow this is probably better than the other "you are my.." drama which was one of the best shows I've seen.
beautiful relationship and mature/logical thinking characters.
ha kyung's mom has climbed to the #1 spot in my most disliked character list. I can't stand thirsty parents who pressure their kid(s) to date or get married after a certain age. these are the same overbearing parents that would try to prevent their kids from dating in their younger days too smh.
It’s my second time watching this drama but I still can’t get over the fact that Hwa Jeong really settled…
can you spoil me the last 5 eps? I feel satisfied that the main couple are now "official" and not really motivated to watch the rest lol.
just curious if Yu Cho Hui is lesbian and liked hwa jeong all along, and if hwa jeong is les/bi too (was it the reason for her divorce... if not what was the reason?). sounded like hwa jeong chose her ex husband.. that's disappointing. lastly, who was the mystery lottery winner?

best modern drama couple/relationship since Mi Ka and Xing Ke Lei from "You Are My Hero" imo. no toxicity just solid good romance.
and that "Upside Down" ost is just FIRE.
